"Marmots down rules 100%" 10/28/10

If you like to carry a nice light backpack when camping without haveing to sacrifice comfort for weight then this is for you!!! this bag lofts out very quick usuially about 15 min and is ultra comfortable to sleep in works great for any temperatures above 40 degrese and goes below that with most types of bag liners compacts supersmall and even compresses smaller than the bag it comes in if needed.

"I own an Arete and Pinnacle. No need for anything else!" 09/13/10

I am 6'1" and 225 lbs. I toss and turn a lot but it is not an issue with this bag. It is spacious and does not make me feel confined. I also have room in the footbox for the next days clothes if necessary. My last trip with this bag (7 days on the AT) took me down to 37 degrees one night. I have no doubt that with a base layer and socks on, it would easily go to freezing. The Arete also compresses down to the size of a football leaving plenty of room in my pack. Marmot makes such a great product, I also bought the Marmot Pinnacle for extra cold trips.

"Great Bag, Worth Every Penny!" 10/10/09

I am 6'1" and 235 and this bag is loose on me. It has met every expectation I had including the temp rating. At anything above 60 degrees and the bag is too hot which makes it only good for a blanket at best. After 9 days on the AT I finally had a night that I had to put on socks with my skivies. But that was when it hit 37 degrees! I think that with some thermals, I could easily go well below freezing. Only down is the zipper, it takes a gentle touch not to snag at least once every time you get in. Final thought, I put my bag up against my friends 32 degree W.M. bag and I was impressed!

i had one for ages that took one whole bag, this one fits in a small,small bag and doubles as a pillow, it is sooo practical, best sleeping bag ever.

"great sleeping bag for warm weather" 04/24/09

I bought this bag for warmer weather and it's exactly what I was looking for. I used it for the first time this week. It stuffs in the stuff sack to a real small size for my backpack and was perfect for a 50 degree night.

"Good, light SUMMER Bag" 04/08/08

Good summer bag. It super light and stuff really easily into the stuff sack. Bag also comes with great storage sack that I'm currently using as a laundry bag... The bag is really roomy which I like because I move around a lot while I sleep. First time I took it out, we were in an appalachian trail shelter and it got down to 40F. I was pretty cold in this bag and I'm not usually one who complains about temp. Also, the slightest bit of water even condensation in a tent seems to make this bag wet and cold. I would buy this if you plan on only using it in summer weather.

"Nice bag if the coldest you sleep in is around 40" 03/10/08

The fabric is pretty thin, so be careful of anything sharp, even corners of stuff when you are sleeping.

"Light, compact, and lives up to its rating!" 07/13/07

This sleeping bag is uber light and compact. It is like nothing! I was suspicious at first of its rating, but when I crawl in it and zip it up I am baking! Have not used it in super cold weather but expect no problems !!!

"light, warm and highly compactable" 04/23/07

roomy and warm. used it on 4/21, 22 and 23. took my two boys 8 & 9 on a 47 mile rails to trails bike trip down through the pennsylvania grand canyon.pine creek gorge, beautiful, check it out got below 40 the first night and i stayed plenty warm. the boys had 20 degree synthetic bags and slept well all night. this bag can be compressed to fit most any open gear crevice you have. great product.
