The Mammut Women's Ultimate Hoody is a hooded softshell jacket for alpine climbing and backpacking. The Ultimate Hoody is made with Gore Windstopper three layer softshell, allowing for plenty of movement and breathability, all while blocking the harshest of winds. The hood fits close and cinches tight with drawstrings that are on the inside, preventing the wind from entering. The thumb loops keep hands warm, and close up when not in use to protect your forearms. When your hike rises your body temperature, a long side zip is available for quick ventilation. The two side pockets secure your glove liners close at hand, accessible even when wearing your pack. Onward into the wind, undeterred.

My first Mammut jacket has just arrived. Well done, Moosejaw, your service was excellent (this is the first time I have ordered on line from Moosejaw). I am tickled with the jacket. I must admit to owning many different brands of jackets (Arc'teryx, Patagonia, Icebreaker, etc.) and I think this Mammut is going to be a favourite. From reading reviews I decided to go up a size to a medium and I am really glad I did. I usually take a size small or xs (height 5'3" and weight 117 lbs, and long arms).
I pulled it out of the package and loved the Kiwi color (the photo is pretty true to color), but was so disappointed when I put it on because the sleeves were way too short. The thumb-loop pulled and kind of dug into my hand... it was really uncomfortable. Even when I wore the jacket at my wrists, it was too short. I walked outside, and the jacket was great: stopped the wind, lightweight, hood was great, color cute, fit well everywhere else except the arms. I debated about just going a size up for the sleeves, but since the jacket fit well everywhere else, just decided to return it. I'm about 5'7, 150 and ordered a M.
"Love Love Love! Recommending to my people"
I tried on several jackets until I found this one - it is the perfect coat for anything. I wore it to a Tigers game and then threw it on the next day to add a cute white spark to my outfit (I bought the white one). Several compliments later....I love it even more!!Also, I am excited to wear it in a 10K I am doing in Thanksgiving- I think the weight and color will be the perfect combination.I will not forget this brand - its comfy, cool and versatile!
