This product is great when paired with the pocket rocket. The titan kettle fits on the pocket rocket perfectly, and the duo offers good heat transfer. I use the pocket rocket and the titan kettle for lightweight solo expeditions, and it is perfect for what I am using it for. The only downfall to this kettle is that it is slightly expensive.

"I can't do without this kettle / mug / pot" 11/24/11

I've taken this everywhere with me to every hotel room and campsite since I've had it. My luggage got delayed in transit and it just got stolen out of my bag. The thief only took the best items. Now I have to buy another one as I can't do without it. The best model of kettle (or is it a cup or a mug or a pot) out there.

I've taken this kettle (or it it a mug or a dish or a bowl?) everywhere to every hotelroom and camp I've been in ever since I got it. It's just got stolen out of my luggage when an airline left it behind at a transit point. Lots of other stuff was not stolen out of my luggage. Just this and some other high-value items. ****er now I am going to have to buy another one as I can't live without it.

"Making tea on the road just got a whole lot easier!" 06/14/11

I am a huge tea drinker. Whenever I hit the road I bring many varieties with me. I dont drink coffee in the morning, so when I'm out camping I drink a whole kettle of tea to start off my day. This Kettle was perfect for my needs. It conducts heat extremely well and has water boiling in no time. Not to mention since its titanium, this thing is VERY durable. It also stores my MSR Pocket Rocket Stove inside while not in use. I really couldnt ask for anything more. it might seem pricey, but I guarantee it is absolutely worth the price.

"Can't believe I spent that much on a pot" 06/08/11

I have been using old faithful (my blackened cheapo aluminum kettle) for over a decade. I like how tight the lid is. Yet, it comes off with ease splattering scalding water on you. I don't regret spending the $$$ one bit. Also, it's important to mention that one hundred dollar bills magically appear in it when you boil water at high altitudes on Tuesdays. It's a great, durable, lightweight, worthwhile investment.

"Only downside: it's $60" 09/21/10

This was the only pot I was able to find that had all the features I was looking for: titanium, minimal volume for 2 people, and able to fit a stove canister inside. The pot is sized perfectly to fit an 8oz MSR IsoPro canister inside and you can just close the lid. The lid lightly snaps into the pot, which means you don't need a separate stuff sack. Using it over a MSR Pocket Rocket, the handles didn't get too hot to touch while cooking. It feels much sturdier than other Ti pots I looked at (thicker walls?) but is still only 4.3oz.

"Worth every penny!" 06/28/10

Although we initially thought the price of this MSR Titan Kettle was stiffer than necessary, we absolutely do not regret it. It is an investment in great mornings with coffee, evening tea and is truly a contributor to a successfull trip. We tend to keep a little zip lock with teabags and instant coffee inside it so that we reduce the space even more.

"Light and practical kettle" 06/28/10

This kettle is superlight and does exactly what it is supposed to do, boils water fast with a perfectly fitted lid. I lost the kettle in the sand on matagorda beach and the water did not spill out. If you keep the red top verically while cooking you can use this to assist you in pouring as well.perfect for the one that wants to save weight.

"4 ounces .85 liter Kettle" 04/27/10

There are other lighter options out there(beer cans etc.) but for something reliable that can do something other than JUST boil this is your best option out there.Makes good coffee, need starbucks via or the like, because of the spout. The lid fits on pretty tight which is a good and a bad thing.Very durableHighly recommended
