"Great lightweight stove." 04/08/13
Got it on sale and could not be happier with it. The pocket rocket is light, compacts nicely, and fits in my MSR pot for storage. The adjustability of the flame will fit your needs as it can boil water pretty quick, or slow cook. Not limited to MSR's IsoPro either which is nice, as long as it fits it should work. However, the life of the fuel source will vary. Great product by MSR.
"Perfect Simple stove without the frills" 04/01/13
Every function of the pocket rocket performs just as it should. Design seems to be very durable and the stove can be used from a simmer to a boil, which I appreciate as my Jetboil Flash has trouble doing anything but a roaring boil. Favorite stove
"Small but Mighty" 03/25/13
This little stove is Ideal for the solo/doubles hiker or someone who doesn't share well with others. I have used this all over and have yet to find a flaw with it. yes it needs some wind shielding on occasion and you have to ensure a flat surface with a full pot but for size, weight, and functionality its great! the only thing I with it had was a sparker.
"exceeds expectations" 01/11/13
I did not have high hopes for this camp stove as I typically do not like the idea of lugging any extra gear than I need and a campfire usually boils my water just fine. However, the ease of use and its fuel efficiency have made it a regularly packed item. I was most impressed with the fuel efficiency. I cooked lunch and dinner for two people for three days on one 8 oz can of fuel. The boil times are higher than advertised but I may be using the wrong pot. Overall I am extremely pleased with the stove.
"Best burner i can find" 01/04/13
Been using the PocketRocket for about 3 years now. Easily the best burner I've come across. Never had a major problem with balance, but it does take attention to be sure your set up is stable. Be careful to only set up on level surface. The case weighs about as much as the burner though, so if you're packing in a pot anyway, lose the case.
"The small rocket really like because of its small size light weight" 01/02/13
My team and I went to the field I took small rocket burners is very easy to use because of his firepower is mighty small size and weight of its advantages is very light boil water probably three minutes
"Love this stove" 12/20/12
I have been using this little guy for 5 years now, and have never had any issues with it. It is super light, packs up small in its durable plastic case, lights easily, and burns efficiently. Like any micro-stove, you need to be careful about pot balance and sheilding it from the wind, but it works great once you do. As long as your fuel cells are semi-warm, the stove lights up great in cold weather (if it doesn't, warm up the cell with your hands or keep them inside your tent overnight). Durability is great as well!
"Weighs Nothing!" 11/05/12
has to be the lightest burner on the market. this thing will last me a life time. fits perfectly in my little water bowling pot. I couldn't be happier with it. All burners cost a little bit of cash but seriously you buy it and it will do its job forever. water is boiling in no time and it doesn't take much fuel.
"Awesome Stove" 11/02/12
I've had this stove for almost 10 years. It is really hard to beat, no maintenance, light weight, durable, comes in a nice case. I looked at the new micro pocket rocket the other day it is almost the same size. The pot rests are smaller and looks like it would be less stable. I would recommend a set of pots that have a textured bottom (all msr pots). The smooth bottom pots tend to walk off if the stove is tilted at all.
