"F**KING Awesome! Travels well,Keeps my poles together-this is a real feat since I tend to lose them!"
The Leki Ski Pole Bag is a nice place to keep your poles, personally I enjoy keeping my poles in the bag, inside my ski bag, this way my poles don't get scratched by my edges on the way to races and such. It's also a nice light weight bag to have because it is wayyyyy too hard to carry 2 pairs of skis, 2 pairs of poles, boots, a helmet, GS suit...etc... you get the picture, keeps things simple stupid!
"It is free, what is there to complain about?!?!?"
At $Free.99, you cannot give it anything other than a “Love It!”. It does what it is supposed to, holds your poles. It works great for storage at home, but I would never take it on the trail. A side pocket and/or strap on your pack will do the same thing only much more securely and with a zero weight increase. Besides, if you’re hiking all day, the poles are in your hands the whole time anyway…..right?.?.?...No?....Well why did you bring them then?.?.?….*cough*(Bryan)*cough*………
It's free. Take it. You'll look like you know what you're doing when you sling it over your shoulder. I know, I looked in the mirror and it looked like I knew what I was doing. Did I tell you you'll like the price when you get a Leki pole it with it. Heck, I'd even pay money for it, as I liked it that much. Oh,I really like the Leki Anti-shock Trekking Pole that fits beautifully in the FREE bag.
I'm not sure exactly what the closure at the top is for, but my poles fit in with plenty of space left. Not enough for two pair of poles, but plenty for a pair that don't close down as much. I rock the 'Leki Thermolite Antishock Trekking Poles (Pair)'.
I love the bag. Strong material, it has a 1 inch web closure going all the way around the top of the bag with a pippet style connector. It holds the poles in tight and they don't fall out when bending over. Which is a plus when I don't feel like getting my head all banged up by Leki's walking poles! Go LEKI.
Having a travel bag is much more convenient than tying a large rubber band to carry and keep my poles together. The loops that extend all the way down the bag can be used to hang all your other gear off of. Better yet, toss in a Camelbak bladder and use this as your water carrying bag. Even though the nylon isn't of the highest quality, it will protect your poles from an unexpected rain shower. Take your bag out in public, and people might think that you're some sort of super-athletic sports competitor.
These poles help keep the dirt and grime of the garage out from your poles, thus enabling better maintenance and longer durability. They keep your poles ready for packing into the car for those crack of dawn hikes when you wake up groggy and have the tendency to for to pack trail essential gear. The bag itself is ok..made of average nylon sorry no cordura here. A definite perk for ordering Leki and from order from Moosejaw. Would i purchase the bag byitself...probably not.
