I have bought owned 2 pairs fo ASOLO Fugitive GTXs, they only lasted 1 year each (I wear every single day as regular walking boots, on and off muddy job sites), the Pamir is built better, wears better, supports better, much more water proof . . . basically a baby Nepal EVO GTX, normal size heel locks in your foot, but large toe area, perfect for wider feet, or double wool socks
Bought this nearly a decade after the nepal extreme boots, which are still in excellent condition (pretty reliable company). These boots are solid; the curve in the sole really makes this boot feel broken-in even before you put socks on. Boot is water-resistant, if you stand in water (about 2 minutes), it might get a little damp inside, so will be applying more water-proofer, not that i go walking in swamps. Otherwise, perfect for heavy loads, and more than anything, your feet will love you,
