"Awesome Knife - used for hunting, fishing, camping, daily use" 11/26/12
I've had this knife for about 2 years now. You can see the wear and tear on the handle but the blade is still fine as ever. I've used this knife for hunting, camping, fishing, backpacking, and everything else. It has never failed to do the job. I've only had to sharpen it one time, so the blade holds its edge. Bottom line, I would fork up the cash and buy this blade. My in the straight blade, but that is just my preference. I've even used this knife as my duty knife when working, it’s reliable and the assisted open function is phenomenal. You should probably buy this knife right now!
"It carries me." 02/20/12
I carried this knife daily since 2005 or 2006. I have owned both the tanto style and the drop point style. I have lost this knife twice and replaced it twice, the most recent edition being from 2008. It does hold an edge well, I have always had the serrated version, though would rather not as I feel its a waste of usable space...next time I lose it I will replace it with no serration. The flip works flawless after years of constant use and abuse, the serration has never been sharpened and is still razor sharp. The flat portion is easily sharpened. I highly recommend this knife, though I feel like 109 bucks is way more than the 60 I paid for it in 2008.
"Awesome EDC Knife" 02/03/12
I purchased this product for an everyday carry knife and I love it. I have some use for it almost every day and this knife never lets me down. The assisted opening is wonderful for 1 handed operation. The pocket clip is really strong; it's not going anywhere. I do not have the serrated edge version due to personal preference. I've had this knife for about 1.5 years now and wouldn't trade it for a thing. I was looking at this and a SOG. I am glad I chose this product.
"scary but sweet knife!! :)" 12/28/11
got this knife for my hubby for christmas and he has not stopped flipping it open since! he loves the switchblade-like open (which freaks me out to be honest! LOL). he plans to use it for work, hiking, and anything else he can think of. it came in handy during christmas when opening up gifts/packaging for my nieces! there were other smaller knives available but this one seems to be the size he can use for anything. and bonus- it has a clip so you can attach it to your pocket.
"Awesome Knife!" 12/27/11
I have had one of these for about 3 years. The blade holds an edge very well and the coating the blade is super durable and shows almost no wear. The spring assist is helpful for easily opening the knife with one hand and is just plain cool! The handle has very good grip even when it is wet. Kershaw customer service is also second to none. If there is ever a problem with the knife it can be sent and they will fix it for free and while it is there they will clean it, sharpen it and make it look new again. Get one!
"God of all Knives (The indestructible destroyer)" 12/13/11
This knife has gotten me trough the wilds of North Carolina, New Zealand, and Michigan's Isle Royale. It will slice and dice through anything you put in its path. And when you use the blur it just feels right.
"Awesome. It gets the job done well" 06/04/11
I've had this knife for about 2 months and use it almost every day at work. It is an outstanding every day knife as well as tactical knife. It comes sharp out of the box and ready to go. I am glad I bought this blade over the SOG Flash II
"assisted spring broke after a while" 02/06/11
nice knife and good build quality but the spring broke after a while. the good thing is that you can send it into kershaw and they will fix it for free. but you have to pay the shipping, i have other spring knifes that have had for much longer than this, i do not reccomend this knife
"Awesome Blur action." 10/27/10
The spring action of this knife is one of the fastest, smoothest openings I've ever seen. I bought this knife probably 5 or 6 years ago and it's still going strong. Great price, and an incredibly smooth action. Kershaw makes a great blade.
"A gift that did not backfire!" 10/13/10
Bought this knife for my boyfriend and he's inseparable with it! He loves the light weight of the knife and the quick release is working great. The blade stays sharp for a long time and it is very handy. We took it camping (works great for: cutting fish line, making pokers for roasting marshmallows, splitting wood, and other wilderness activities), and it's always in his car (just in case he has to protect me from the bears in the wilderness of Chicago).
"One of the best knives I've ever hiked/backpacked with." 08/04/10
I love this knife for multiple reasons. First off, Kershaw is a fantastic brand of knife. I (being a small framed female) find myself fumbling over certain styles of knives while trying to get them open with one hand. This one has the easy open blade that is very easy for me to get off my belt and open with one hand. The clip is tight enough but not too tight and the knife itself is light enough to not pull at the waist of my pants. I know this is a very female-oriented review, but hey...I come by it honestly!Spend a little more and get a much better product that will last!
