"Perfect for those who don't like wearing glasses!"

I really don't like wearing sunglasses, but these were perfect! I have a hard time finding glasses where my eyelashes don't rub against the inside lenses and these were perfect! The ear piece is bendable and comfortable to wear all day long (I took these on a 12 day mountaineering expedition and they protected my eyes wonderfully!). Also the side pieces were nice and loose on the side of my head. Best thing I bought for a mountaineering trip!

I've had a pair of these for years. They rock. Whoever said they are flimsy is an idiot. Mine have gone up and down some big mountains and been mistreated in between, squished in the top pocket of my backpack. They still survive. The lenses are DARK, which is what you want on snow, but they're really not suitable for driving or "in town" use unless you're in Chamonix. Out of all the other glacier glasses I've tried, Julbo lenses are the clearest. However, they ARE pretty heavy, and on very long days, I've found myself switching to my lighter plastic "spare" glasses after a while. Something to think about.
"Flimsy and weird looking, you could do better."

I grabbed these because I tried on the Micropores X3 in silver with the reflective lenses. The X4s are not only HUGE (I couldn't tell that X4 referred to size by the description) they're flimsy and feel like I could break them at any point.I'm returning these. Moosejaw was patient and helpful, it's not their fault that these are horrid.

For prescription glacier goggles, there's really no other choice. It's a shame because Julbo puts such nice lenses in to just throw them out, but that's what we poorly visioned folk are stuck with. Relatively comfortably though certainly not like alain mikli's. Great customer service. After your zinc eventually eats through the nose guard, they'll happily send enough replacements for a lifetime for free. The myth buster guy wears these. Just another reason to never wear them off the mountain.

I'm a Sawyer on a "Hotshot" crew and it maybe a little different than they're intended use on glaciers, but for hours on end, in hundred degree heat with dirt and sweat and flying wood chips... These glasses are Boss. Some of the high points are the full coverage, the light weight design, the wrap around ear arm thingys, and the venting. Low points... The frame of the blinders, which is the part that clips to the glasses, is made out of plastic and after some abuse little clip ended up breaking. The dye in the leather blinders come out and streaks down the side of your face making you look all emo... WTF!Plus they make you look like an Evil Genius or Mad Scientist
"If you're active outdoors in a winter climate you want these!!"

The pluses? Excellent eye protection, adjustable nose and ear pieces, great lenses. They're big. I have a larger head and most glasses don't fit well. There's no problem here. Large lenses protect your eyes and provide a nearly obstruction free view. The minuses? For day to day use, they look a bit funky. When climbing or spending time in the outdoors during winter there's no substitute but day to day in the summer the large nose piece will get some strange looks. I know it's removable but it really looks worse without it.

Really great old school climbing glasses. I've never done any real climbing, but if you're a nocturnal creature like I am, nothing beats these out on the water...or the park, or a brightly lit mall.

I wore these all winter to stave off the snow glare. Although a bit overkill for Michigan, I don't regeret the purchase. The removable side shades make these glasses good for everday use.
"Fine glasses, though a bit large and flimsy."

It's not easy to tell from the picture these are a bit on the large side. I have a small to medium-sized face, and these look nearly silly on me. They also feel a wee bit flimsy, though I can't compare them to other glasses as I don't have any other pairs. I haven't used these enough to be sure, but I guess that the leather side shields will deteriorate after prolonged exposure to wetness plastic shields might be more durable. That said, they certainly seem like they will keep out the light when I don't want it, though I'm sure the cheaper options would, too.
