If you are one of those "just in case" person, like me, than this replacemnt gives you peace of mind. Have not needed the replacement yet, as our tramping team never had trouble with our jetboil yet!

"better safe than sorry" 01/15/13

Have not needed one of these replacement kits yet, as jetboil is just too good for that, but am the kind of person who prefers to be safe than sorry. It's one of those "just in case" things.

"Jetboil appreciates their customers" 09/24/10

Although the electric start is a bonus feature, as it can be easily lit with a match or lighter even in windy conditions, it is still a slight design flaw. If you use your jetboil heavily like I do, you'll go through a starter about once a year. Now, a typical mediocre company would either look the other way and just suggest you buy the new generation of the product at full price (new generation jetboils have a much more durable and longer lasting ignitor) or charge you a ridiculous price for the fix to profit even more off of you. I am sure Jetboil is making money off of this, but for under $5 I think this is a perfectly reasonable offering to their obviously valued costumers.

"Needed for your Jetboil." 06/20/10

If you use your Jetboil quite often like I do, this should be in your inventory. A little tricky to sometimes replace in the stove but necessary as a backup.

"Have Jetboil will need..." 12/30/09

I used the crap out of my Jetboil (6 month of AT through hiking). So i went through two of these kits. But, even if your little Jetboil is in good shape its still a good idea to have this on hand.

"Great service and great product" 01/23/08

We received this maintenance kit and have not used it but, are happy to know if for any reason something goes wrong on the Jetboil, we can fix it now. We received this very quickly and have loved Moosejaw!

"Pretty funny" 11/29/06

Thanks for the kit. It came in a box big enough to house a St. Benard with cask, and enough bubble wrap to hold the next mogul championships on. Recycle guy must have missed you all that day!
