"Best lightweight wool yet!" 05/05/13
I wore this crew for a week of backpacking, washed it out once on the trip but probably could have skipped the wash. No smell, wicked perfectly, and did not itch at all. I would recommend this top for all activities as it breathes well.
"Warm and comfortable; great for long trips and multiple use- it doesn't pick up ANY odor." 04/28/13
Best baselayer I've ever owned. I have two of these that I bring on long trips as my only baselayers, and they come back smelling just as fresh as when I left. Merino wool is seriously magic. In addition, this is a great fit and is fantastic for strenuous activity. I wore this running in 5-10 F weather with only a light Icebreaker jacket over it and was fine- SO warm for the weight. Really, really good choice for layering.
"Stylish and comfortable!" 02/12/13
This ice breaker top is a perfect wool baselayer. The fit is perfect: nice and snug, so it is easy to layer on top of. Very warm and doesn't smell even after use. Overall great product-- fits and functions well! Heather Jost is hot.
"Keeps me warm!" 02/02/11
I love the feel of this top, and it definitely keeps me toasty. I purchased a size larger than normal due to my normal size fitting very snug. It is also a little bit on the short side for those who like their tops to be long. Other than that, it smells nice even through many wears and is great under a fleece in very cold temperatures.
"LOVE this material. A MUST for avid travelers" 11/03/10
Cons: The Baacode tag inside REALLY itches....tore it off. The fabric isn't quite as soft as other icebreaker tops but its still pretty soft (super soft for wool). Also, no thumbloops =( Pros: Best layering piece ever. Fits close but not so tight that you have to be a supermodel to wear it. Truly doesn't smell for DAYS. Doesnt wrinkle, doesnt stop keeping you warm if it gets wet or sweaty...really a piece any hiker or traveler needs to have. Wear it comfortably 3 seasons a year. This was my first icebreaker piece months ago and now I'm ADDICTED....dropping dough left and right to buy all the 100% merino wool I can. Also, people are always asking to feel me up when I wear Icebreaker =)
"Silky Soft Icebreaker" 10/10/10
I'm a big fan of icebreaker merino wool. Got the oasis in blizzard for a base layer. Was expecting it to be 1/2 white - 1/2 grey, but it's much more grey (like 85%) than white. Was disappointed in the darker color, but forgave the garment immediately when I felt the fabric. Gosh icebreaker is goooood. lt seems their fabric techniques just keep getting better and better. 200 weight (weight of the oasis) is my favorite for year-round comfort.
