"Great baselayer, just a little bit itchy"
I've worn this on multiple hikes and runs and love that it keeps me warm but doesn't cause me to overheat. I do own quite a few Icebreaker shirts and this is the only one that itches even a little. Not sure what it is but I have a shortsleeve in the same size and style and it doesn't itch at all. Doesn't bother me enough to not wear it as when I'm active I don't notice, the only time I do is when I first put it on.
This shirt can go anywhere, both as a casual top layer for out about or sports activities or as a warm base layer for cold weather activities. It's thin and breathable, but still warm. And has an interesting seam stitch detailing, so it's not just a plain shirt. Definitely something worth investing in.
Really like the feel of it, thin, tight to the body. Put it through the stink test - wore for most of 3 days, slept in it for 2 nights. Didn't exactly smell like a rose garden but none of the saturated stench body odor. Washed it, put it on while still somewhat wet and it didn't feel cold. Granted, I was inside in a warm house but putting on a wet cotton would definitely feel cold, this stuff doesn't. Dumping most of my cotton shirts, I think I can live with about ten of these (various styles) instead. Worth every penny.
