I love this jacket because it has so versatile, for instance i started the day out in cool breezy, then it began to drizzle. so i laid a layer of greenland wax and boom it became water proof, and windproof i love fjallraven clothing and have been wearing since introduce in a alp trip in the early 2000's, im just glad to find someone who sales it in the states.

I know Fjallraven is somewhat of a big deal over in Sweden, and they make good products. This jacket is a good jacket for casual wear, travel, or just general milling about, but there are better options for hiking. The fact the G-1000 Lite fabric isn't 100% windproof or 100% waterproof, but just highly "resistant", even with the waxing, means you'd be better off just using Gore-Tex. That being said, I do like the european cut of the jacket (similar to Arc'teryx) and the feel of the fabric (sort of a light cotton duck canvas). The collar is nice too and hides your face well if you like being a khaki ninja.
