"Comfy right out of the box" 10/30/12
I was very nervous about ordering Anasazi online (they did not have my size in the store), and so happy I did! Men's Anasazi did not fit me because of the extra volume in the heel, but women's version fits perfectly! What is unbelievable - they felt very comfortable straight out of the box, no break-in period (as was not the case with my previous pair - 5.10's Galileos). What else to say - an amazing shoe, great rubber. Love 5.10 products so far. My street size is 37.5, and I ordered my pair in size 7. I could have gone with size 6.5, but even 7 fits perfectly.
"Beautiful, but run VERY small!" 05/13/12
I was super stoked to order a pair of these, however, I did not try them on at a store, and just ordered them to see how they fit and reads reviews saying to get my street shoe size. My street shoe size is a 7/7.5. I ordered a 7. They were tiny. I tried them on maybe 5 times, because I really did NOT want to return them (then I had to). They hurt my toes at the end :( I would say my feet are pretty normal width. If you have slender feet, still suggest getting street shoe size, they will fit. Get your street shoe size or even a half size larger. I believe the 7.5 or 8 would fit me if Moosejaw had them in stock :-/ I wish I could say that I was able to use them. Goodluck!
"great all-around shoe" 04/16/12
I disagree with the person who said these shoes are no good for outside lead climbing / bouldering. I've been using them outside for a year now, and I love them. They're comfy & fit my small foot great. They're not super aggressive, no, but they're just fine for toeing. The only thing I really don't like to do in them is heel hook ...the heel fits great, but the little cut-outs in the rubber make it ouchie even on the nice southern sandstone I climb on regularly. They're flexible enough to feel what you're doing through the shoe (unlike my more aggressive choice, the Scarpa Vapors), but sticky enough to hold you when you need them to. Get some!
"Aggressive, sturdy shoes; just be ready to take them off between climbs" 10/02/11
I climb 3-4 times a week indoors. I've had a few pairs of La Sportiva Mythos, and I love how comfortable they are, but they aren't as aggressive as I'd like (I'm working on climbing 5.11s). When I first put these on, I honestly wanted to cut off a few toes (my other shoes are 39.5 European - these are an 8.5). They've stretched out a bit (I was worried they wouldn't because the top seems to be synthetic) so I don't go "ow ow ow" every route, and now these are the only shoes I wear because I have so much more control. Nice sticky rubber, aggressive corners - all around great shoes. I don't wear them when I'm belaying, but with velcro straps, not a big deal.
"Tiny!" 09/18/11
I was really looking forward to getting these shoes, but when I put them on they were so small! I wear mostly an 8 street shoe, sometimes an 8.5, and I got a 7.5 in these. Bad idea. I definitely recommend getting your street shoe size unless you're comfortable with smashing your feet. Unfortunately, no one has a size 8 in these, so I'll probably be returning them and trying out the teal version.
"Good for narrow foot, runs small in length. Aggressive & Durable" 07/05/11
-I wear a size 7 tennis shoe (Asics) and a 6.5 heel (Cole Haan)-My left foot is slightly larger than my right (TMI?)I ordered the Anasazi in a size 6.5. They were TINY. Wearing them for the first time brought me to tears. I tried everything- wearing them around my house, stuffing them with newspaper and leaving them overnight, wearing them while submerging my feet in water.... 5 months and many, many climbs later, these shoes are still very tight. When belaying, I leave the straps un-strapped and my heels hanging out the back of the shoe. But during the climb, the tightness provides quite a bit of support to my foot. I can balance in ways my friends (with comfortable shoes) cannot.
"This is a great shoe for a Low Volume (narrow) foot! Excellent grip & holds your heel in place." 02/26/11
The 5.10 Women's Anasazi LV climbing shoe is a great shoe for those of us with narrow feet - man or woman. I recommend buying right at your street shoe size, because these shoes do not stretch much at all. When the fit is right, though, they surround your foot just right with a sticky surface that makes you feel like a tree frog gripping to the wall. They are not the most aggressive shoe on the market, but for those of us mid-level climbers, they are just what we need and at a well-worth-it price point. Give 'em a try!
"NOT for wide feet-- LV stands for LOW VOLUME!" 10/24/10
It's a good all-around shoe, but if you have wide (even slightly wide) feet, stay away! These shoes are Low Volume, & Five Ten made the LVs for women because the majority of women tend to have more narrow feet than men. If you like this shoe but have wide feet, look at the Men's Anasazi instead (the orange/tan-ish ones)-- NOT the Verde or Blanco Anasazis, those are for narrow feet too!I don't have wide feet, but my toes are a little bit short so I experienced a LOT of discomfort with these shoes to the point where my pinky toe can't even bend anymore. But for the performance... it's definitely better than other casual shoes.
"Not the best fit." 10/22/10
Well, they fit perfectly length wise and felt really great until I climbed. I have a medium-width foot (I'm street shoe size 7.5 and got the 8s which fit perfectly except for the following) and there was still way too much room in the upper portion of the shoe (both width and height wise, just not lengthwise which was fine). Also, the shoe put too much pressure on parts of my foot that I had been using on a hold while edging when I was projecting a route. Ouch. They did not distribute the pressure well. However, great rubber!
"Super Sticky, Great Heel Fit!" 10/15/10
I wear street shoe size 6.5 right foot and 6 left foot and got the shoes for 6.5. They are still very tight; just right toe curls on left foot but almost painfully tight on right. Bottom line, GET STREET SHOE SIZE FOR THESE, try them on at stores. I have narrow heels and need specific shoes like La Sportiva Miuras, Katanas, etc. Women's Anasazi has tiny heels grip well on my feet. Well, 5.10 soles are always super sticky and I don't have to go into that. All around great shoes! Great for medium-volume feet (ok for high arches).
