To drink, just bite down in the outer groove, which pushes the internal plunger back, and lets the water flow free! If it needs a cleaning, twist halfway between On and Off, pull off, and swab out with a little rubbing alcohol - make sure to rinse out thoroughly before drinking again. When not in use, you can put on the black dust cover so no dirt gets on the mouthpiece.
