This jacket is perfect! Great workmanship and the color is great! I have no doubt this jacket will look great after years of wear as well. Its long enough to keep me warm yet not too long enough to restrict me.
"Well Crafted Jacket with Great Attention to Detail But Not Epically Warm"
I bought this jacket as a New Years gift for my fiancee . She's from LA and is freezing in a North Face downed jacket when it is 40 degrees F. But she's also fashion conscious so a big bulky jacket just won't do. I've heard nothing but great things about Canada Goose and thought if anything could meet all her standards it would be this jacket. The craftsman shift does not disappoint but it has not been able to keep her warm.
I am a freeze baby. A really, really bad freeze baby. 70 degrees means pants and a long sleeve shirt for me (maybe I need my thyroid checked). So with living in northern Wisconsin, this poses a bit of a problem for me since we "enjoy" winter for about 6 months out of the year. This cold climate I live in also apparently prevents money from growing on trees, so the thought of spending this amount of cash on a jacket was a bit unnerving. I am glad I did--this is the warmest jacket I have ever owned. Very cute--perfect length--and great color (Arctic Frost).
Upon my consideration to buy a Canada Goose, I worried about where the fur came from. I looked into it on www.canada-goose.com and everything was plainly spelled out and this product is extremely ethical. It is made in Canada (not n a sweat shop), the fur come from coyote trappers who are controlling the population and the down comes from the poultry business.Next, I couldn't decided between the Bomber style or the Montebello, but I am very happy with my Montebello decision. It is a little more feminine, it is longer and the sleeves are more enclosed. I would highly recommend this product to anyone considering buying a Canada Goose jacket because it is certainly a jacket to last a lifetime!
My initial thought before buying a Canada Goose was worry over how the fur for the hood is obtained, so I looked into it and the logistics and everything is extremely ethical and plainly spelled out on the Canada Goose website. The jacket is made in Canada (not in a sweat shop), the fur comes from certified trappers who help control the coyote population and the down comes from the leftovers of the poultry business. On top of all of that the jacket is wonderfully warm, very stylish and the Montebello style has a nice feminine touch. I was deciding between this jacket and the Bomber, but I went with this option because it was a little bit longer and the sleeves are more enclosed which makes the jacket seem warmer and it makes it look more complete. This product is definitely high quality and will last a lifetime! I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend it to others considering.
"super warm, well designed, and fashionable as a bonus"
You can never go wrong with Canada Goose brand, and once again this parka meets Canada Goose's high standards for warmth even in the most extreme weather. I work in emergency management in North Dakota, and I have never been disappointed (or cold) in this parka....even in blizzards. The design features on this jacket are impressive. the phone pocket on the sleeve keeps my phone handy and easily accessible. The inner drawstings keep cold air out, and the tunnel hood keeps the wind off my face...a crucial feature since wind chill temps in nd reach 100 below zero. For these and numerous other reasons, this parka is well worth every penny.
This is a jacket that will keep you warm during those cold winter months. I am from Minnesota and a person who gets cold easily so staying warm while adventuring with my huskies is a must. I am 5.7 and 125 lbs and the medium fits great, I probably could have bought as small but wanted the freedom to move and to be able to layer. Some awesome points about the jacket...1. The jackets construction is wonderful.2. The hood is very deep.3. The zippers are heavy duty.4. The buttons are a beautiful detail and easy to work with while wearing gloves.5. The lining is soft.6. The fur trim is fluffy and keeps the falling snow off my face. All in all, great jacket that will last many years.
