"Canada Goose!!! Great Canadian Product!!!"
Given live in Toronto such a -50 C COLD place in winter, I'm always looking for a coat to keep myself warm. I have The North Face, Moncler, and Adidas, none of them really worked out!!! They can't defend the chili wind at all!! My friends recommanded Canada goose, not only its stylish and well known quality, but also really keep your warm even walk outside for a long period of time! The fur hood is a big big plus, so pretty!! The only thing I dont' like is the PRICE!!! I've to admit Canada Goose prices itself so expensive (Even if Moncler is more expensive...), but you will find out it worths your hard earned $$$$. And I bought it from Moosejaw since it always have some kind of speical, keep eye on it and you should get a good deal!
"Great jacket, extremely stylish and not too warm"
I live in an area that typically does not reach below 0 degrees celcius, however I had no true down winter jackets to keep me warm. I found that although a lot of the Canada Goose products are made for extreme arctic temperatures (and I am sure they could keep you warm in these -15C temperatures), the Chateau jacket in particular is much lighter than the others (e.g. Expedition). This means that I could comfortably wear it in +0-10C weather and not be sweating in it. In terms of the quality, it is extremely well made, with very tough materials but still kept light with the down filling. There is minimal leakage compared to other North Face down vests I have owned. The length is about mid-thigh, so I would say it runs true to size. I am 5ft7 and wear a size Small. Sleeve length can run a little long but the way the sleeves are designed allows for them to be easily folded up and it is barely noticeable. All in all, very happy with my purchase and kept me warm through the NYC winter.
Have the Canada goose citadel, but I think this one is far superior. Similar warmth from both jackets but the chateau is much much lighter - the citadel is quite heavy. Plus the citadel cut was long so it was harder getting up stairs. This jacket on the other hand is much more trimmer and lighter and overall could not be happier
I LOVE this parka, it's just perfect. This model is longuer than the bomber one so it keeps your thighs warm. I love the hood because it's big and protect all your face from the weather if it's really cold or snowing heavily.Little remark: pay attention to this one. If you have some extra weight, you might take one size bigger as this parka have a more slim fit than the other Canada Goose.By the way, thanks Moosejaw for the shipping. The parka was perfectly packed in a plastic bag inside a large box.
"This is a Great Jacket that keeps you warmer than a fat man in a Sauna after 3 hours"
This is a great jacket for those cold weather months and for those of us living in the dreary land of the North where it gets very cold and a jacket is more important than anything else in avoiding frostbite and other cold weather ailments. This is especially important for someone like me who lives in Manhattan and spend most of my time traveling from location to location outdoors. This jacket fits pretty slim so plan to order accordingly. Although many of the Canada Goose jackets in my experience tend to run roomy and pretty big, this jacket runs much slimmer, so I would order your regular size for this model. A great warm jacket, that is definitely worth the money. Today it was 4 degrees F outside and this jacket kept me nice and toasty along with my Canada Goose Hat.But this jacket!!
My height is 180 cm, weight 68 kg, chest 90 cm.Wear this coat M code is too fit.I also really like the coat hat design can transform a variety of folding style hats too love.Whole coat fit perfectly in the city wear, fashionable and stylish.I think everyone should buy one, the madness of love.
"Awesome mix of form + function + quality"
Duck down insulation makes it toasty inside. The cuff is elastic so wind doesn't get all up in your arm's business. The hood's coyote fur lining looks great + feels amazing. Best part though is it's a tough parka that looks great. 6'2, 170lbs, M fits great even with a sweater underneath. I won't be taking this up mountain climbing; that's what my super-packable MH Subzero SL parka is for. This is great for around the ski areas and pre-14'er climb warmth/looking awesome. Not that this couldn't take the abuse.Great mix of tough/warm/stylish. There are better things if you're ONLY interested in function though, like the Subzero SL parka, or the Canada Goose Snow Mantra (I hear).
I am not exagerating when I say that I really only need a shirt under this parka...I use the Canada Goose Vest til it gets down into the thirties then I switch to this below that. The BEST and WARMEST you can get and you are buying from a company that stands behind their products
"Screams quality, but only for the slim..."
Great parka; very well made and toasty warm. Down feels softer than the 625 rating suggests, probably because Canada Goose is quality and doesn't misrepresent. When I wear this jacket I feel I am prepared for the next ice age.One thing to note: When they say this is slim, they aren't joking. I'm a slim guy, though with reasonably broad shoulders. I wear medium or small in most brands. Medium here is almost too tight on me...it is very, very narrow -- especially at the waist. I also tried a large but the sleeves were way too long... so kept the medium and keep telling myself I better not gain any weight. All in all, I'm a huge fan.
