"Whatcha need her for?" 04/04/13
The bag itself Is nice and easy to use. The straps sinch up tight easily and stay that way. The tarp is nice and large and has great loops on the corners for steakin it down. (I normally just put rocks on it) I have used this directly on snow and had no problem with seepage.I was surprised a few times when the rope tried to jail break and got about half way out. Now I had them tight already obviously but if you're like me and don't have a problem breaking brush and get really excited while thinking of climbing then make sure they are tight. I recommend the BD Super Chute Rope Bag
"Good over all bag for a decent price!" 02/26/13
I bought this bag to take with me to go out to the Black Hills and it sure did me well. It is sturdy and has an easy stowing procedure that is easy enough to figure out! Good shoulder straps. Won't let you down.
"Its nice to carry a backpack and a separate rope bag, great tarp, and looks great" 01/23/13
My 60m rope fits perfectly with room for some gear or a harness if I am feeling ambitious. I have the orange bag, and the color is beautiful. On a more practical note, the tarp is great. It is certainly big enough. the strap is nice and thick, so it doesn't hurt to carry, unless it's a hike out to the crag. Then it is a bit of a pain. For longer hikes I seem to throw the strap over my shoulder then carry it like a baby... or a sack of potatoes. I do like being able to carry a full pack, that is not over taken by a rope, so I personally find not having a "climbing pack," to work the best.
"Great bag" 12/05/12
I have a 60m rope and it fits great. Love the protection from the elements it provides. Looks great too. I got the blue one and it was a bit deeper blue/green than I thought but am very happy with the look anyway. Love it!
"Long-durable and fits 2-half ropes!" 10/16/12
This bag is awesome in many ways. It's cheap, its practical and its easy to put the ropes inside it. And i meant ropeS. I been using those bags for some years, and i'll figured that 2x half ropes easily fits in it, without damaging it. Its a smart choise plus its not expensive at all! The fact that I just bougth my 4rd bag of this kind says a LOT. And my old bags are still as good as news!
"Good as they get" 10/12/12
Haven't had too many rope-bag experiences that knocked my socks off. This bag will keep your rope clean and dry, and that's what you bought it for. As with all shoulder-slung rope bags, it can be tricky to navigate through a scree field with it. You can spend hours making your own duct-tape fannypack belt for it, or accept it as it is: a nice, functional piece of gear that does what you need it to 90% of the time. Four out of five stars.
"Like it alot. Rope stays tangle free. Compresses Nice. Lots of room. 70m rope + everything else!" 09/15/12
At first I didn't know if I was going to like the whole "Chute" thing. Meaning the tarp is sewn into the bag so that is funnels the rope into the bag when you are packing things up. But it turns out to be nice... but funnels some unwanted debris also. Just shake out the bag before you pull your rope off the wall... No Problem. Also top closes nice and the whole that compresses well. Lots of room for everything. I have put my 70m rope, 15 quick draws, harness, shoes, chalk bag, etc, In this thing with ease.
"Best Rope Bag Ever!" 08/17/12
I've taken this rope bag everywhere including abroad. I have not been disappointed yet. It protects my ropes throughout heavy rain, sharp rocks during approach, etc. It also has plenty of extra room for either an extra rope or gear.
"Spend money to save money" 03/06/12
Its crazy to see so many people sell their kidneys for some sweet climbing rope only to toss it on their back seat when they are not using it. This bag will certainly save you some greens by keeping your rope protected until it needed. Worse case you can use it for a highly fashionable man purse everyone will be jealous of.
