It is an amazing tent but the durability is crap and... BD will not repair zippers. I bought this tent in 2007. FYI… BD doesn't seamseal the tent, you do. On the first trip out, the pole pocket became detached/delaminated. I sent the tent back to BD. They sent me another tent. I officially got to use my tent in 2008. It lasted less than 2 years. In 2010, after moderate use, the tent had holes in the fabric, the screen was separating and the zipper broke. This tent is fragile. If you intend to replace this tent in 2 years, buy it, otherwise, buy the MSR Hubba Hubba or the Marmot Aura.
This tent is perfect for two people and their gear, without weighing as much as many 3 person tents do. The hybrid design is fantastic if you want to pull back the fly and enjoy tons of fresh air. When zipped down tight and staked out well, it sheds the snow and moderate wind with ease. Pitching it in the wind (from inside the tent) is a bit of a challenge to learn. It didn’t come seam sealed, but did come with the stuff to do it. Its easy to do. The fabric is waterproof, and condensation hasn’t been a problem, regardless of the temps, as it has the vent on the back, and the big mesh panel in the front, with adjustable venting from above or below the panel via the entry zipper.
