This tent rocks for alpine climbing. It's everything you need and almost nothing you don't. (the mesh pockets aren't too usable). I love the fact that it sets up from the inside meaning you can hang stuff directly off of the poles (stove, headlamp, gloves). If you're looking for a tent to stand up against heavy rains I'd look for something else, but if you're going to be mostly in the snow with some drizzly days, don't hesitate picking up one of the sickest tents on the market.
"Probably the best bivy-tent on the market!"

The Black Diamond Firstlight is small. It will fit two, with some gear. You might even cook in it. You won't be forced to cuddle with your partner, but I guess you could… A specialized alpine "tent" that is easy to set up, is incredibly light, and stands up to alpine conditions. Single-wall construction is a compromise, but ventilation on this tent is market-segment leading.
