"Luxurious chalk ball holder" 02/05/13
So this thing seriously pampers your chalk. I have smaller hands and the medium absolutely swallows up all the chalk that I need for climbing and my hand slides in perfectly every time. It is probably on account of the super soft fleece that they used for the lining. Plus the draw string really does a good job of sealing up the bag like a tight balloon knot.
"Decent bag." 11/15/12
I have had this chalk bag for roughly two years. I recently had to replace the drawstring on it- not the easiest of tasks, as you have to thread it through, but doable. The rigid lip is what I like about this bag. The size is ok, but it's not the bag's fault. Certainly worth the price- considering some bags go for the price of a discounted cam. Whaaaaa?
"Nice bag, I'm happy!" 10/10/12
I'm not the smallest of females, but would say my hands are average, so I got a medium. I don't really have any issues getting in and out of it, but if you want complete and utter ease, I would suggest the large. Ups to Moosejaw for customer service. I phoned in my order cause also ordered a harness and asked if I could request a bag the coordinated with it, since choosing a color wasn't an option (I'm a chick, what can I say). I got a lime green bag that matched the lime color holdings on the harness. Can't say for certain if they did that on purpose or if it was just dumb luck coincidence, but I'm happy! And I just appreciate them taking the request to begin with! Thanks!
"Good bag for me." 10/10/12
I'm not the petitest of female, but would say my hands are average. I got the medium and it's not really a problem to get in and out of, but if you want complete and utter ease, I would suggest the large. Also, I called Moosejaw to order over phone since you can't choose your color options. I was also ordering a harness and just requested if the bag could coordinate (I'm a chick, what can I say....) They sent a lime bag that matched the lime holders on the harness. Not sure if it was on purpose or complete dumb luck coincidence, but I'm happy and appreciate Moosejaw just taking down the request!! Thanks!
"Get the large one." 09/05/12
The medium bag is too small for a guys hands. Perfect for female hands only if they are on the smaller side. The draw string is difficult to use and when up a wall it is almost impossible to chalk up. Get a bigger bag than the medium if you want to chalk up during a longer climb.
"Don't use with loose chalk, decent with chalk sock" 07/27/12
This was my first chalk bag, and for a while it did what I needed it to do--hold my chalk sock. But when that ran out and I decided to use free chalk, I began to run into problems. The opening of the bag does not close completely, as in I could easily fit two fingers in the hole when I had closed the bag as tightly as I could. At this point, I bought a Krieg and have been happy since then. But despite the hole in the bag, it works fine if you use a chalk sock, and it feels good on your waist. Not bad, but when other bags are similar in price, I'd look elsewhere.
"Bad Bag" 06/26/12
SMALL BAG: This bag does not hold chalk at all. Whether you are chalking up on a route or bouldering around. Any movement just throws chalk everywhere even if you do not have much in it. The belt strings are a bit weak too. Really do not like it at all. Prefer a Misty.
