"Great cabin lamp" 05/24/13
We use this for winter camping and two of them are good for a 12x14 cabin. They are light and compact and very nicely designed. The fold out legs proved good height and stability. There is a top hook to hang with as well. Battery life is good on high power, lasts for a couple of nights. I really like this lamp, especially the way it folds up.
"Pretty nice Lantern" 05/11/13
It is only 80 lumen but it stashes so small and has good features, like fold out legs, cover the power button, metal hanging hook for inside the tent and it is light weight. Best part, it takes AA batteries, I hate having so many types of batteries to carry.Over all sweet lantern.
"perfect llamp" 03/18/13
this lamp is perfect for any camping trip. small and compact for backpacking. this thing is pretty darn bright too. the best feature is its ability to dim easily. stand works great, helps protect it when you close it up. just not enough good things to say. definite must for anyone either just beginning or experienced. love it
"Best of its class" 03/05/13
Theres pretty much no competition for this awesome compact led lantern, it gets great battery life, I have dropped it too many times to count without any signs of damage or malfunction, offers plenty of light and it looks pretty cool. The hanging hook is pretty clever as well..gives you a way to attach to an already strung cord/rope/strap/whatever very easily without needing an additional fixture (eg a caribiner or something).
"Great Light for your campsite" 01/27/13
This light is awesome! It puts out a lot of light for its size in a nice broad area. It will light up a pretty good sized space with no problem. The battery life is pretty good. I have no complaints. I would definitely recommend this to a friend
"Awesome small light" 12/10/12
This light is pretty awesome. We always bring it camping and has come in handy in some power outages around here. From some other website reviews the light tends to point down more than I'd expect but it works out to be pretty useful on a table or hanging in a tent.
"It's more than a pretty face." 10/03/12
I needed a light weight, small lantern for my pack and general camping and does this fit the bill. It's got a fun design that keeps it compact when you need to pack it and expansive when you need the light. I would say it comfortable lights a picnic table. Good work Black Diamond, I'll be back for more!
"Nice little lantern" 12/23/11
I got this lantern to have on hand should the power go out. I live in Connecticut and so that should continue to happen frequently. It gives out plenty of light if you are going to use in a small space, like for dinner table or in the bathroom. I can also see us using this for camping in the summer or beach walking as it has a little handle. It's nice and compact and will be easy to store when not in use. The only thing I had an issue with was that it was rather hard to get the batteries inserted into the battery holder. The upside to that is they will never fall out. I think this lantern gives out as much light as my old Coleman lantern and is a lot smaller.
