This tent is a piece of cake to set up. Takes less than 2 minutes. If you can't figure it out you probably shouldn't be camping... at least unsupervised. Best tent ever, but pray you don't have to deal with Black Diamonds customer service. I bought my Ahwahnee before BD acquired Bibler. After 10 years of regular use, I had some problems with the tent. I've sent it back to BD 3 times now and they have done nothing. The last "rejection" note I got from them was actually insulting. I loved this tent, but I won't buy another one because I hate Black Diamond.

"Best small 4-season tent I've ever used."

Bomb-proof in bad weather. With the front vestibule, which takes a bit to attach, you have a storm-proof comfortable shelter for one plus gear, or two cozy people with little to no gear. By itself, it sets up in less than three minutes. It never leaks and it has practically floated on water in some rainy conditions in the mountains. I trust this tent completely.
Purchased it for Alaska guiding. I had it half put up to check it out when several other guides and I decided it was crap. Not worth the huge pricetag. Made in China and it shows. I had it back in the box and returned the following morning. Buy something else.
"Comfortable, Waterproof, Easy Setup, Strong, Great Air Flow & Very Well Built!!"

"I've used the Ahwahnee in the Rockies and also the Midwest in the States, and extensively in the Southern Alps of New Zealand. From the dry conditions of the East Rockies to the terribly wet climates of the S. Alps, the ToddTex fabric comprising the tent body soaks up moisture like a paper towel. To dry out the tent floor, all that is needed is a few minutes upside down with the floor facing the sun, and the body dries out quickly in a light breeze with the doors open.

The materials used and craftsmanship on this tent is excellent. The big doors will let in some water when it's raining sideways, but they are perfect for nice days. The best single sheet, 3 season tent I have ever come across
I just got the tent today!!! I did not get to test it yet, but I set it up in my livingroom..It really seems like a NICE/QUALITY tent..I love the double doors and how the screen doors cover the entire sides..The quality seems very good..BUT..setting it up SUCKED..I really had a hard time setting the tent up..I am kind of a professional camper and had set up many different types of tents in my days..This one is by far the hardest for me to set up...Hopefully it gets easier with more pratice.
Bibler Ahwahnee Tent is by far the best tent I've ever experienced. No more hassle trying to get my tent fly anchored in high wind and nasty weather conditions. Just set up and enjoy within minutes. Of course, Moosejaw even make my experience better with their over the top customer service. I call just to talk with the reps. Can't say enough for both my tent and the best outdoor equipment supplier in the world.
