"It works, but it's more time consuming." 03/14/13

Bought this product to try out with our air cores. It's more time consuming to use this product than it is to actually blow the mats up yourself.

"Kind of a Hassle" 12/12/12

I normally love Big Agnes products, and I bought this expecting it would save my lungs and keep moisture out of my pad. Turns out you just take five times longer than everyone else to fill up your pad, and look dumb doing it. The pump is also a lot bigger than you would think. It doesn't make a very good pillow either, even if you stuff it with clothes, because the thin material sticks to your face.It will do what you want it to do if you put enough time into it, but overall I don't think it's worth the hassle.

"I can recommend it only as a pad pump and stuff sack" 10/14/11

I purchased it two years ago - primarily because I was concerned about moisture from my breath degrading the insulation in my pad. The Pumphouse does make an excellent pad pump, but fails completely as an inflatable pillow or a dry sack. As dry sack it definitely won't keep the contents dry in case of submersion in water or heavy rain. When I tried using the Pumphouse as an inflatable pillow, the air inside had disappeared within an hour. I can recommend it only as a pad pump and stuff sack.

"Bottom line is the BA Pumphouse Pumps well but not great for anyting else" 12/04/09

If you use this for pumping up your air mat it works very well once you get the hang of it. 5-6 pumps and I have my full length pad fully inflated. Any other uses like as a pillow, portable shower or carrying water it doesn't get the job done very well. Using it as a stuff sack works fine. The size is a lot bigger than expected but it still weighs only 1.5oz which is well worth it unless you like being light headed.
