Yes the boot looks very stylish, feels amazingly comfortable right out the box, very little break in period. Waterproof yes, and breathes well. But thats where it ends. I wore this on just one backpacking trip and a long dayhike, and on the long dayhike (adirondacks), the seams started to come apart, to the point where by the end of the day there was 2 inch opening in my boot. Would not expect this on a hand crafted double stitched $230 Italian boot. The boot also has terrible grip on open slabs and led to me having multiple slips/falls sliding rock faces and scraping myself up. Needless to say, these boots were returned.
