"Low weight, high speed, comfortable beanie that keeps you warm." 04/29/13
I was never a big fan of the wooly, thick skullcaps that felt uncomfortable, itchy and bulky... or cheap like something you just got at a dollar store. Arcteryx is gourmet in my book and this is a thin, lightweight, sleek beanie that keeps you warm without the bulk. If you are looking for a beanie that keeps you warm and is also breathable, check this guy out.
"Very Great Hat" 03/01/13
I puchased this hat as a result of needing a lighter-weight beanie for backcountry skiing/snowboarding. I had been wearing the Arcteryx Classic Beanie, but it proved to be far too warm for rigorous activity in anything but the most bitter of cold conditions. The RHO seems to be the perfect weight for higher-intensity outdoor activity. It is my go-to when the temps are between -5 and 35 degrees. The fit is very comfortable. I have what I'd characterize as a smaller head and the hat fits me well without constant movement. Due to the weave of the fibers snow does not cake on this hat either.
"Awesome skull cap for the active." 01/14/13
I got this skull cap because other beanies are usually too thick and do not breath or wick well enough for me. This one did a great job wicking and kept my head and ears warm enough that I was comfortable and not too warm that I had to pull it off. I am very impressed with this and it is wool and not heavy at all. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is active.
"Extremely low-profile, excellent build quality." 01/07/13
I give this hat four stars because I would prefer that it was a bit longer. It's exceptionally elastic, so it occasionally has a tendency to ride up so that it doesn't completely cover my ears. This is the only negative aspect of the hat, and it's a very minor one. For it's weight/thickness, it does a good job of keeping your head warm, and the design is very subdued (which is nice). It's very form-fitting, so I can wear it beneath my helmet at work without having to make any adjustments. Based on my experience, I can only assume that it would also work nicely for those folks who wear a helmet for their recreational endeavors. The quality of construction is excellent.
"Amazing, light weight, warm, comfortable, and most importantly - sexy" 11/01/12
I bought this beanie about 4 months ago...and I've found it difficult to take off. Not only does it keep my dome piece toasty and warm but it looks good too! (chicks dig Arc'teryx, fact) I've worn this beanie during my travels through many different countries and I've never been disappointed with it. You always get very high quality, well made and comfortable gear when you go with Arc'teryx. Morale of the story, don't buy one of these beanies...buy lots of them.
"Amazing! As expected from Arc'teryx." 07/29/12
I just received this last week and I absolutely love it. I've gone trail running with it a few times already and it keeps my head pretty warm. It's made of merino wool so it doesn't get TOO warm; but rather, allows your head to breathe. The material seems pretty sturdy for such a small item (but time will tell). After washing it, it turned out to be a nice addition to my trip to my local coffee shop. Overall, extremely pleased with this product! Already thinking about picking up another one but in a different color.
"Wool is the new synthetic" 12/31/10
I bought this beanie because it's wool and has the Arc'teryx logo on it. It's good quality and stretches over my enormous 2XL head. Best when used for outdoor sports such as running or hiking. Will probably not keep you warm on 0 degree days.
"Comfortable, form-fitting beanie" 07/11/10
This wool beanie is a nice, comfortable, warm, form-fitting wool beanie. It breathes nicely. Not too thick. Not too thin. If you are stationary & it is very cold, there are better choices, but if you are fairly active, or it isn't frigid, this is a great choice. Solid, good looking Arc'Teryx woolie.
