The Men's Theta SV Bib by Arcteryx is designed to survive challenging alpine ascents and descents, these robust bibs do it all. Made with water-beading polyester-faced Gore-Tex Pro Shell fabric, these pants stay dry in any weather conditions. High-waisted with a stretch-woven back panel and 3/4 length thigh zippers, these bibs have generous reinforcement and Keprotec instep patches to extend their life span.

"The Ultimate Mountaineering Bibs!" 09/27/12

These waterproof/breathable pants are phenomenal. From the local sledding hill to high altitude peaks these bibs have kept me both warm and dry. The full length side zippers offer easy access to my pockets and provide great ventilation for when you get moving. The high back and suspenders keep body heat in and keep snow/moisture out. The small front chest pockets are great for the small essentials that are always good to have on hand. The reinforced knees and seat have withstood sliding and stress and still look practically new. These bombproof pants promise years of continued service. Full disclosure, I am lucky enough to do some testing and reviewing for Gore-Tex as a MountainTech.

"the best" 09/21/12

I've been using these pants for about 3 years maybe more... i've lost track. they are the end all of weather protection. When you want to go for a hike and the weather is nasty. that's when the fun really starts. The Pro-Shell just takes what ever you throw at it. from hiking in a downpour to an amazing fresh white out. awesome!The zipper down the leg is great for regulating your temperature on the hotter days. they are showing no sign of letting my down any time soon.top shelf. "Great for Winter Activities" 09/17/12

I have used these for winter mountaineering and backcountry skiing. The fabric is thin but has been really durable when skiing through the trees. I really like the pockets on the bid for storing small items.The only issue I have with the pants is that the cuffs are really tight around my ski boots. On the bright side, no snow gets in.I am 5'11" a 180lbs with a 34" waste and a large fits good.As a disclaimer, I am affiliated with Gore for product testing of Gore-tex products for the purpose of product review and recommendation. These are the best bib's for skiing. I have been skiing for more than 20 years and these are the best I have ever used.

"The BEST Bibs I've Tried" 07/03/12

This is the best pair of bibs I have ever tried. The Theta SV bibs don't ride up like many of the others I've worn in the past, they stretch just enough to stay in place. I've generally mistreated them for at least 4 years They're still waterproof, the zippers still work, and they still feel great. My only gripe is the tiny chest pockets seem to catch condensing water vapor from sweat. DON'T use them as an iPhone pocket unless it's in a plastic bag, even though they seem the perfect fit. (Full Disclosure: I have been involved in the Gore MountainTechs program since 2007 and have received these bibs for testing as a part of that program.)

"Great bibs" 04/10/11

These are great snow bibs for all sorts of adventures in snow up to your waist. I've used them in 0F weather on all day climbs in thigh-deep (or more) snow with just a single layer underneath and never felt cold. The zippers allow venting and the material seems to be bomb-proof. The fit is great as well. Arcteryx makes great gear and these are no exception.

"Perfect!" 01/13/11

This is probably the best Bib ever made. Solid, fits perfect, light and keeps you dry in all kinds of weather. The price is probably the most expensive of its kind, but its worth it. Hopefully I can use this for 10-15 years, because I believe it will do so :-)

"yeah, these are expensive" 11/11/10

yeah, these are expensive, but the little features (especially the full length side zippers) make these bibs worth spending the extra cash. i have worn these things on waterfall ice and scraped them up worming through rock chimneys on alpine routes,

"Go for bib" 04/09/10

If you have the Alpha SV jacket like I do, the bib is a must have. I choose this over the Alpha Sv pants for no obvious reason, but unless the Alpha pants have a secret massage function I don't really see the point of upgrading. Absolutely love these, they're easy to adjust and as good on long hikes as a on a day in the slopes.

"So worth the price!" 02/24/10

Was hesitant to buy this due to the high price. But after trying them on and noticing that they fit like a well-fitting glove I did.After four days of telemark skiing in -20°C and 20 m/s wind I am sooooo happy I did! Awesome pant. Completely windproof and with excellent freedom of movement. And with smart pockets and full-length side-zippers.Love it!

"No more snow in my boots!" 11/20/09

I've tried multiple pairs of XL and XXL snow pants for snowboarding and they never had long enough pant legs for me. I'm over 6'5" and that is mostly legs. I decided to pony up for a good pair of pants and boy was I happy. These Arcteryx pants are offered in a tall and made with quality materials and zippers. I primarily use them for snowboarding, but they are rugged enough for some serious backcountry hikes and even ice climbing. Don't worry out the cost and buy a quality pair to protect your pair.
