"Perfect execution of design." 01/07/13
I haven't a single negative comment to make about this product. A neck gaiter is a piece of equipment that I use nearly every day throughout the winter. I own several of them, and after I bought this one from Arc'teryx, I stopped looking. When I read reviews of it before getting mine, I heard many complaints of it being too tight, but that's exactly what I prefer. It fits very close to your neck, and does its job flawlessly while remaining unobtrusive. It's warm, comfortable, light, and resilient. It also has a level of elasticity which allows you to pull it up over your face, if you're so inclined. Simply an excellent piece of gear.
"Perfect when you have to shave in the winter" 02/20/12
This was working very well to help keep the dry air under control on the bike. Then the new job made me shave my winter beard and it finally started being cold and snowy. Suddenly this was the go to item instead of a scarf as my face was suddenly frigid.

This is my favorite Gaitor, I own two others (diff brands) and this is not too tight . I use it for jogging in cold weather as it keeps my icky sweaty neck nice and toasty warm especially when windy. I own several arc products and all are awesome.

First of all, this product is unisex. I bought it in black for myself on cold ski days. I used it over and over and washed it many times. I have it in my ski backpack. It is so thin, yet very warm. I absolutely love it. The quality, fit and functionality is superb. I even used it as a hat on a snowshoe excurtion.I just wished it was offered in more colors. In color fire red and white would be great to have.

The description says Men's ... however, don't listen to it. I bought it for myself and couldn't be happier. It is absolutely the BEST product. It is so comfortable (not itchy), warm, breathable, and stylish. It is long enough to cover my mouth and nose on cold days on the lift. I just wished they were offered in more colors. I would want to have it in fire red and white.
"Super warm, but froze on the summit" 01/23/11
I wore this in a recent Mt Washington summit.... I think the water vapor from my breath froze the gaiter solid! It ended up sinking from the weight, and became useless. I did get frostnip (my goggles also froze), and I only partially blame this gaiter (I should have known to get a balaclava).However, if you aren't hiking in -38F, I think this would be a great product! It is VERY warm and seems to keep its place well.
"Warm, smaller than expected" 01/05/11
I don't have a large neck, but this didn't seem to quite cover everything sufficiently at first. After some stretching, it fits great! It is very warm and wooly (read: itchy). However, when you're hiking up a gorgeous mountain, the last thing you will think about is a small amount of itch. It is warm and blocks wind well.
