"Coreloft is good" 04/03/12

I will say it is very warm and lightweight jacket, ski in it is very convenient. Hood deep and insulated, can be easily adjusted to your liking. jacket totally blown by the wind. integrated in hood a plastic cord is very comfortable, the edge of the hood does not stop to look at and does not hang before my eyes. it is not hot when it is not very cold. of the drawbacks - no pocket for ski pass, no skirts powder, there is no internal closed pockets.

"Warm, dry and hot" 02/01/12

This windproof, highly water resistant, warm coat is awesome. Spend most of my time in it skiing, but it quickly became a daily wear. Could use pit zips, but I've really never been uncomfortably hot in it--even at 38 degrees F. He-YOOOUGE hood, but it is easily adjustable. No snow skirt, but that's ok. A smidge uncomfortable on the chin with the zipper up full and without the hood on. With hood on, and zipper all of the way up, it feels great. I love this coat. Get it. You'll enjoy being the hot one.

Yes, you read that right. This coat was my best buy of the season so far. Use it primarily for skiing, but it quickly became a daily wear. With an abnormally warm winter here on Lake Superior, it has never been too warm, but could benefit from some pit zips. The hood is He-YOUGE, which is nice for helmets, but not so much without. It adjusts a bunch, though, so it isn't a negative aspect. The facts that this puffy isn't, and that it is windproof/highly water resistant, makes it a great choice for cold days with some snow falling. Good zippers, and solid cuff hook-and-loop. Great fit. Streamlined. Warm. Functional. Jackhammer.
