The season we've all been waiting for.... the first line of Arc'teryx down jackets. I didn't think it was possible, but I'm looking forward to the Arc'teryx clinic more than ever before. The Arcteryx Men's Cerium LT Hoody utilizes a mixture of strategically mapped 850 fill down and Coreloft™ synthetic insulation. The synthetic insulation is placed in areas that are prone to moisture (hem, collar, sleeves and underarms), and the down is stuffed everywhere else to keep your core warm while allowing the Cerium LT to be light and compressible. If you need a little extra warmth or protection just put on the hood to keep that noggin of yours warm. With this insulating mid-layer, it's like you're wearing years and years of research and progress.

Just like your favorite down sleeping bag this packs down to nothing. It is really really light weight, like your not even wearing a jacket. Fabric is thin, well made, but will rip if it gets into some nasty bush. Arc's warranty service is 2nd to none and a repair is very cheap. Well suited for environments where high wind is not a factor or should be layered under a shell. Under a shell it can be sub-,zero out and your toasty.
"Super comfortable, warm, and very light."
For how light this jacket is, I am amazed at how warm it is. I have heavier jackets that aren't nearly as warm. The cuffs at the end of the sleeves keep the heat insulated and the hood works way better than your normal jacket. This is the Ferrari of jackets. I love it. I love the color but am thinking about getting a different one.
"Athletic cut for perfect fit and exceptional features"
I had high expectations for this hoody, and it delivered more than expected. The hood fits and functions perfectly, with a fit that can be dialed via the draw cord. The hoody functions perfectly as an outer layer in moderate conditions or as a mid-layer in colder conditions. Where this hoody really shines is the fit though--- Arcteryx may cost, but you are paying for a perfectly cut garment. I'm 5'8" and 150 lbs. Ordered a small which fits like a glove. I can layer underneath the hoody and still have full-range of motion, or I can wear a minimal layer underneath and still count on a perfect fit. Perfect technical piece and very well suited to mountaineering and climbing. Highly satisfied !
I bought this jacket to refresh my down options, and boy am I glad that I did! It's light as a feather, offers great warmth, and fits perfect. I'm 6'4" 220 pounds and the XL fits fantastic. The jacket also looks stunning. I definitely won't mind wearing it out and about. It's hard to believe that it's filled with 850 goose down because it is so thin. I also own a North Face Nuptse down jacket, and it's so puffy I look like the Michelin Man. The Cerium LT though, PERFECT! I think I am going to thoroughly enjoy having this jacket in my arsenal. Great job Arc'teryx!
First thing I noticed when I received this jacket was that it was incredibly light weight and I thought there would be no way this would keep me warm (although I'm the type to wear a t-shirt in the winter). The fit is incredible! And despite my assumption you can feel yourself heat up within a few seconds. However, I never got too hot - the Cerium LT breaths really well. The hood fits perfect and is not as bulky as other down jackets. I ordered the medium and I am returning it for a large. I am 5'10" 175lbs. The medium fit comfortable but I want to be able to wear a baselayer and the witness hoody underneath with the Beta FL for Alpine climbing. This jacket is worth every penny. Stop thinking about it and do yourself a favor.
bought this november2013 before the winter started in the northeastern. it packs really small - about the size of 3 fists stacked together. so i think it's really good for travelling. i'm 176cm (5.77ft), 68kg (150lb), and i got the black colour with size S. it feels warm even in temperatures of -10°C (14 °F). i wore this over my work clothes, and under my marmot fleece and marmot windstopper (both size S). i love the hoodie because it keeps my ears nice and warm. my only gripe is that feathers do come out once in a while (like most down jackets do). also, not to sound derogatory, but i was kinda surprised that this arcteryx down was made in china. well, most things are now these days anyway. i have no complains since the construction is great and fits really well. though i think i could have find a cheaper alternative.
