"WARM hat" 03/01/13

I've been using this hat for some time now, backcountry skiing/snowboarding. I'll say one thing about this hat: it's extremely warm, so warm I had to purchase a different hat to wear for my more rigorous outdoor activities because it cause me to sweat in anything but the most bitter cold conditions. I would not recommend this hat for extremely physical activities in temps above 0 degrees because it'll cause you to sweat. For non-physical activities it's perfect in just about all condtions. The wool is comfortable and doesn't cause itching/scratching. Due to the weave of the fiber, snow does not easily cake on the hat either. If you're looking for warm - you've found it.

"Very warm, but small beanie" 01/20/13

This beanie is fantastic! Most wool beanies are itchy and not worth the trouble, not the case here. The hat is super warm and has the normal arcteryx quality. The beanie is very small and i have a smallish head, however after 8 hours on the slopes the hat started to stretch out, and i would imagine that will continue until it fits right.

"Tight Fitting Beanie" 12/24/12

I consider myself to have a smallish head, and this beanie is tight around the cranial. Warm, looks good. I had a similar North Face Beanie which is lost and replaced it with this, this beanie seems to be warmer due to the 100% wool construction.

"It's Arcteryx, what else is there to say" 12/14/12

This hat is fantastic, i found it on sale and jumped on it. Material is great and very warm. The inside has a soft felt so it doesn't bother your ears. When i first got it, it seemed a little small, but after a full day out on the hill it fits perfectly. Most hats of this material either collect snowballs on them and are scratchy, but that's not the case with this hat. I would recommend this product.

"Great All Around Beanie" 12/08/12

This is a great hat for daily use as well as the trail or the stand. It has a fleece lining inside that keeps your ears super warm, and is just deep enough to cover your ear lobes without having to scrunch it up around your brow. Perfect fit and functionality, as with most Arcteryx gear.

"Haven't used it heavily yet but love the fit and seems really warm" 11/10/12

It fits perfectly, not tight but not loose anywhere. Haven't had a chance to use it in cold weather yet but the fleece lining around the headband seems like it will keep my ears warm while the top section of the hat is a single layer allowing it to breathe helping to maintain a comfortable temperature.

"Warmest beanie I've ever had" 09/10/12

Incredibly comfortable! Wore this beanie all last winter and it never failed to keep me toasty, in fact it was almost too warm for Arkansas winter, it only got down to 17 degrees fahrenheit.

"Not So Impressed" 06/18/12

I owned this for a day once. Got it because it was on sale. Really hated the color - it was more of a sickly, dead green/yellow than the nice highlighter color in the picture. There's a fleece earband which was nice. However, the material on top was this really thin knit that didn't look like it would block wind or snow at all. Arc'teryx makes great stuff so I assumed this hat would be awesome, but didn't meet my expectations.

"Warm as ..." 05/25/12

If you work outside In sub 0 temps this is the hat you want. I used it in Resolute Bay in the Canadian Arctic this winter. This hat had everything I needed from warmth and ventilation to comfort it even kept me warm with chill down to -36deg C. Great product.

"Warm!" 02/21/12

I found this one a little itchy, but I never wear hats. Kept my ears warm and looks very stylish. this hat is either windproof or very close to it as I do not remember any getting through. Had no problems wearing my Black Diamond headlamp over it. The color looks great in person too.

"Pretty tight, in both ways" 01/05/12

Does it's job- I almost forgot it was 20 degrees out. At the same time, it's quite tight on my head, and I'd say I have a medium sized noggin. That aside, looks super cool and the arcteryx logo increases your bad-axe level by 50%. Plus I got it with the 20 bucks that moosejaw tossed my way. Righteous.

"Does all things a beanie should do." 01/01/12

I've worn this thing almost every day since I received it. It fits well, looks good, and keeps my noggin warm. I really like the wool, and have not found it itchy like a couple people have written. It's from Arcteryx, so you automatically become better-looking while wearing it. Solid winter hat.
