"Well designed bag that straps on comfortably"
This bag is designed well to keep your chalk accessible while climbing, and in the bag and not in the trunk of your car when you're not. It's got a really sexy and simplistic look and feel to it too. Just feels high quality in your hand.If I want to nit pick, the adjustment for the strap feels like it can come loose very easily when you set it. Having said that, I have never had it come loose on me even once, but it's in the back of my mind still. In the words of Leonard from Parks and Rec "It's a buy!"
I am always impressed with Arc'Teryx. First of all, the styling on this chalk bag is second to none. The hand opening is ergonomically designed; the rim is tilted downward to allow for better access during ascent. The body of the bag is completely waterproof and the drawstring does a great job of closing completely, so if you get caught in a storm the chalk won't clump up and get wet. Secondly, this bag provides all of the features you need: comfortable fleece lining, waistband, and a brush holder. It even doubles as a bottle opener if you want to crack a brew at base camp! I would expect nothing less from such a respected brand.
Arcteryx makes some nice stuff. And if you can find it on a deal, that's even better nice stuff. The bag is a nice size for easy chalk access and the closure keeps the chalk in the bag. Has a tooth brush holder too, which you cant see in any of the pictures.
I really don't know why Arcteryx would charge so much for this.. Oh I know why, I feel for it :)When I bought this I was expecting the state of the art chalk bag, but it doesn't even have a zippered pocket (like some of the Petzl ones) or a tooth brush holder (like every other one). The material on the outside feels tough and the size is alright. My husband says it's a little smaller than his liking (he's 6'2" and has pretty big hands).I would only recommend it if you can get it on sale or you absolutely love the design. It's really nothing all that special.
