The Yakima Raptor Bike Rack is a locking "up-right" style bike mount Yakima roof rack with padded jaws that securely hold the bike by BOTH the frame and wheels. This Yakima bike rack fits 1" to 3" diameter bike downtubes, secures bike wheels with ratcheting wheel straps, and has no problem handling disc brakes and thru axles. This Yakima rack fits round and square Yakima crossbars, and is also compatible with factory crossbars when you add Yakima Universal Mighty Mounts or Mighty Mounts, which are Sold Separately. i was tired of taking my wheel off and getting the inside of my car dirty after riding so i got two of these and it solved all of my problems it securely fastens to the down tube of the bike and it is also compatible with lock cores

I ordered two of these bad boys. I wanted something that I didn't have to take my front wheel off, but also didn't want the bike to fall off. Now I can grab the bike and go without having to take it apart first. I don't regret choosing this over all the other bike mounts at all. It grabs your bike and don't let go. And it's so easy to put together my 6 year old son put one together for me.

This rack is pretty great. Unlike my last rack, I'm confident my bikes are secure up on my roof and aren't going anywhere because of high speed cornering. I can see how a side arm system would be easier to use but I've quickly gotten the hang of the raptor and it does the job.

Less than 2 hours after delivery and the Raptor is already on top of the Jeep. This thing is phenomenal. It grips and holds my 36lb Diamondback Beach Cruiser like it is a long lost child finally found. Nothing could compare. Again, a Yakima product that has changed my life.

The bike racks are very well constructed. It took me about 15 minutes to put them together and another 5 for installation onto my crossbars. These puppies are secure, they are not moving!!! Unless the car is moving, I suppose. I tested a bike on the rack and it was snugger than a bug on a rug. I'm planning to load up this weekend and go have some fun!!! That's better than the chores my wife thinks I'll be doing!

I already had 3 of these and needed 2 more now that my littlest kids can ride bikes on their own. We have them mounted on top of our camper. It's a cool sight to see 5 bikes rolling down the road on top of a camper! These bike mounts are easy to install and easy to use. My 7 and 9 year old kids can rack their own bikes.

Had the older lockjaw upright mount by Yakima but they could not get a good enough bite on the larger dia size down tubes The Raptor mount by Yakima is a great mount, which can handle any size down tube you throw at it , but then again what else would you expect from Yakima! Then too top the great mount off, you have a Great company like Moosejaw too sell them.

This rack is great. It takes me about 30 seconds to thow my bike up on top of the car now with this thing. I was worried about scratches on the top of the car so I originally got a trailer-hitch mount. I am so happy I switched! I love not having to worry about tie down straps or about the bike rattling around and scratching its frame on the rack. I use the rack--and my bike--so much more now that I have this rack.

The racks are very easy to mount and easy to get the bikes off and on. The ratchet straps are cool and hold the bike securely in the rack. I think it is a great item and you guys had a great price that mede them affordable.
