Hello All.Amazing shoes. In the Black/White color, look like regular sneakers. If one is not a regular barefoot walker/runner, one might find them weird at first, but after a while they will become very comfortable. The extra dexterity is great when climbing and running and even comfortable while trail riding. Overall very nice comfortable shoes, if one can get the proper size. If possible go to the store and try them, that's what I did.
I purchased the Vibram Treksports for mud/trail running, but wanted something for street races. I liked the speed laces and the feel of these, but found that after pounding on the street during a 5k in October 2012, one of my toes on my right foot began to go numb. I ended up damaging a nerve in one of my toes and had to take a couple months off to heal. I still love these, but I'm using them more for casual wear or mild trail runs. They don't have the off-road traction of some of the other Vibrams, but they get the job done.
My husband has these and absolutely loves them. He's always been an avid runner and wanted to try out the barefoot shoes, these were a great introduction. Work up slow though because otherwise you can hurt yourself if you run the length you used to run right out of the box.
"Changed my life....Too bad they don't hold up."

Pros:I can finally run as much as I want with no knee or shin problems! These don't look as ridiculous as most other 5fingers models.Having a tongue to pull on helps to get your toes in the correct position easier than with other models.Cons:After 200 miles of running these shoes have holes in the fabric between the toes. Vibram won't replace them, claiming "excessive wear". I have worn through four pairs of Vibrams so far. Always the same problem, regardless of the model. For anything over 5 miles you will NEED socks and toe socks are expensive. After getting used to running in the 5fingers, wearing "regular" shoes caused severe calf pain, so I had to get barefoot shoes for daily wear.
My first Five Fingers. Had it for months; no problems whatsoever.Pros:Durableeasy to tightenfashionableCons:Accumulates smell easily (haven't put it in washing machine for fear of wearing it out)Mud/dirt easy develops between sole patchingsWill wetten toes on moist groundBottom Line:For me, best first FIve Fingers. Fast, lightweight, easily adjustable Use it for running sidewalks + streets), although may not be best Five Fingers for wet/rugged terrain.
I love VFF. I love them so much. I've worn my KSO's for a year and a half and they are still going strong. I wear them to work. I am in construction and they can handle it. I bought these for running and am so happy I did. The lace system lets me dial in the support. So I pretty much fly with these on. They work great everywhere. Plus, I really dig the old school sneaker look. I will always wear these. Thanks. (I'm getting the Spyrodons next time(for running trails)).
Had these about 3 weeks and ran my fastest 5K yet in them last weekend. Love them, love them, love them. Extremely comfortable, great grip on so many surfaces -- they really improve the confidence of your footing. Even great around the house. These are my second "barefoot" shoes, with my others being Merrel Trail Gloves and I wish I would have started with these. Definitely some adapting to running in these but worth it.
I have really wide feet, so tennis shoes left my feet hanging off the sides of the soles, causing some pretty radical discomfort in my calves. I bought these and absolutely love them for working out. First off, they are awesome for balance on lifts like squat and deadlift. Also, they are designed to keep the weight evenly distributed, which made my calf pain disappear. I can't say enough about how great these have been for me.
"Comfy, Stylish (IMHO), feel more natural (monkey like)"

Nothing like drinking beer and floating a river, its even better in fivefingers. not the speed model necessarily due to the water but the KSO's fit the bill. The speeds are good for walking through the mall/suburbs/your humble abode, etc... People, including your friends, will probably call you gay and then secretly order a pair themselves LOL! I call them closet toe shoers...
A puddle of pee in my flip-flop? Must laugh about that one. These shoes are unbelievably comfy, and they look super cool. I don't want anything else in a shoe; they seem like shoe perfection to me.
