The Vibram FiveFingers Men's KSO Trek Shoe is a more rugged version of the popular FiveFingers KSO. This FiveFingers shoe features a kangaroo leather upper and sock liner that feels soft against the foot, yet is strong and tear resistant, with outstanding breathability. The FiveFingers KSO Trek also has a 4mm EVA midsole that offers plating protection from stone bruising, and a lightly cleated 4mm Vibram performance rubber outsole delivers improved traction on trails and over more rugged terrain, making them awesome for light trekking and trail running.

"The name in barefoot" 06/01/13

I have changed my running style to eliminate heal strike an these shoes fit my need. The only challenge is make sure you get the right size - even across Vibram styles I find that little difference means a lot.

"great barefoot shoe" 06/01/13

The product is great. It is very comfortable. It takes a few days to get really used to them but once you do, they are great to wear and go running with.

"Great, but some downers" 11/01/12

These shoes are comfy, stylish, and nice, but they really don't take long to get too small on you and after you've had them for about a year, they take about ten minutes to put on. For the most part, they're some of my favorite shoes.

"Pretty good!" 05/31/12

These are awesome shoes! They are perfect for anyone doing any type of physical activity. If this person is doing any major hiking, running, or major foot movement, I also recommend bring a bandage or two just in case the shoes start rubbing the side of your foot, causing a blister. I have done several physical activities in these shoes, and had a great experience every time. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a great shoe and also a great time!

"awesome for light hiking and trail running" 04/19/12

ive had these for about 5 months and i love them! i always take them backpacking as my day hikign shoes/ hang out at camp/ exploring trail run shoe. the treads grip dirt and rock great. the leather breathes well and i have not had the infamous vibram stench at all. only thing is that its not quite as "barefootish" as other vffs like KSO or bikila because of the extra 4mm EVA to prevent rock bruising. also, i have low volume heel, so the heel is a little lose for me. still love em though! my favorite VFF

"These shoes make my feet happy!" 04/05/12

Let me say for the record, I don't find many shoes comfortable. The KSO Trekmake my days of totally fun. i live in SF, CA and refuse to use my car or bike on days off, Walking everywhere is good for my health and allows me to enjoy all of the city. The thing I love the most about Five Fingers shoes, is how much more flexible my feet are and how much more strength I feel in my lower legs. Vibram KSO Treks never feels tight or constricting, which I love. This shoe allows your foot to work naturally, without doing anything but protecting me from objects in my path. If you can relate, try a pair. If you want shoes to hold you together, keep it moving, nothing to see here.

"Durability may be an issue if you use them off trail" 03/06/12

I ran almost 300 paved miles, and countless miles on and off trails in everything from plains to badlands and the Rockies in these. They grip rock well, and the treads are as good as any when it comes to getting traction in something soft like clay. They also dry out fast, even while being used. Two complaints:1. Running through vegetation quickly leads to plants stuck between your toes. It looks weird if it’s flowers, and sucks if you're running through long grass thick enough to trip you.2. At about the 250 mile mark the material between the toes has started to tear. I love the barefoot feel and how they spread toes, but having the space between toes break down first defeats the purpose.

"The dressiest VFF option for work" 02/23/12

Not everyone can get away with wearing toe shoes to work, but if you think you can fly under the radar, these are the ones. Anyone who gives you lip, just let them know that 1) these are expensive and probably cost more than their shoes did. 2) They are made of premium Kangaroo leather. Can they say that about their shoes? 3) These may be toe shoes, but they fully cover the foot and have a legit lugged sole made by Vibram. 4) Who cares what anyone else thinks, these shoes are good for you. The sole is thick but ground feel improves significantly once they break in.

"Bad Ass" 02/21/12

First pair of Vibram Five Fingers. They run small. I am usually a 47, but just a 45 in the 5. Wear well, excellent traction on the trail. Only problem was some blisters on the 'index?' toe (toe next to big toe). The socks alleviated that quickly. As a biggish gymrat / adventure guy at 6'1" 220 these are also ripping up my lower legs. Thumbs up, ordering my next pair today or tomorrow. :)
