The Shark Nut Tool/Knife by Trango combines two useful and common climbing tools into one: a beautiful swept handle, stainless nut tool and a razor-sharp knife. The blade is machined from surgical quality 440-C stainless with a serrated blade - perfect for sawing through the wad of slings that's keeping you from clipping that fixed pin. While the locking blade can be opened and closed with one hand it's absolutely impossible to open when clipped to a carabiner. Important: Carry it on a regular size standard gate carabiner so it won't open accidentally.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Burly This is by far my favorite nut tool. And that's not because of the knife, as cool as that is. Two reasons why I like this thing: 1) It's steel (not aluminum like others), so it won't bend or deform after wailing on it with a rock, and 2) when the knife is closed, the back is twice as thick, so hitting it with your palm doesn't hurt nearly as much as normal.,,,,Some drawbacks:,,-It's thicker than other nut tools, so it can get stuck up in those really thin cracks.,,-It's heavier than other nut tools (But not as heavy as a knife+nut tool),,-You've gotta take it off the biner to use the knife, making it possible to drop it (girth hitch some cord through the middle to solve this problem).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nut tools pay for themselves by saving your nuts. Seriously, that's not a nut joke. This little guy has helped me retrieve my 9 stopper that I whipped on like it was my job. Granted, I had to use a rock as a hammer...but I got it back. The point is, this will save you from losing gear, so it's worth it. And even though I've never had to use the knife, it's good to know it's there just in case you're trapped in a tangle of rope and webbing. Or if you have to fight a bear or something.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I recommend this nut tool! I would love it if it had a bigger back side. On the good side I loved the knife. The rest is just a regular nut tool. The problem I found with the knife is that sometimes it had some problems with unlocking it to close it. Good mechanichs though.,,,,I like it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Two in one = awesome If you're trad climbing, you need to carry a nut-tool anyway. Having a emergency knife attached to it is just that much more convenient. Overall, the whole set-up is sturdy. The knife is locked when attached to a 'biner, so there is nothing to fear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Swiss Army Nut Tool This thing is heavier than your average nut tool, but the knife portion is certainly worth the extra weight. Its actually a good quality knife. The serrated teeth work great for cutting old gnarly webbing. You need one of these.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from heavy I thought it would be cool to have a knife built in, but I think it weight's too much and bringing a knife with a lighter nut tool would be better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Get's the job done, bonus blade feature Gotta have a nut tool when trad climbing. This one is light and easy to use, and it is an easy way to carry a blade without a whole separate tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy Everything on this tool is constructed very well. The nut tool end is very sturdy along with the knife end. Great two in one tool.
