"GF liked well enough to relay to me so I could earn reward points!"

Following relayed from GF (wearer of above coat):"I really love this coat. It's perfect for just about everything and nice enough to wear all the time. I'd really like to try one of the other liner-thingies that zips into it, though. This one (the one it comes with) is kinda shiny and I feel like I could snag it on anything (she hasn't)."So, yeah. The coat is part of a modular system, so she COULD remove the inner jacket and "zip-in" another North Face jacket for the inside. I think that's pretty cool.
Great jacket for everyday running errands, and casually being outside. I'm not a skiier and am not out for long periods of time during the winter, but this coat is great. Was almost concerned when it arrived, it seemed very thin. Keeps you very warm (weather has consistantly been in the teens, 20's here so far. I am surprised how warm it does keep me without the added bulk I thought I always needed.
Bought this jacket for my sister for her annual ski trip. She absolutely loves it. It kept her warm down to 15 degrees and loved both the under and over coat options depending on weather outside.
A great addition to my wardrobe this jacket can survive brutal NE weather and look very stylish. It's lightweight when trudging through the snow. The inner liner is also detachable so we can pop it on during the warmer weathers.
I decided to return this jacket based on how bulky it was under my arms and how long the sleeves were. I really liked the fabric, but the color was kind of a blah maroon that I didn't love. The inner jacket fit great, better than some of the other triclimate jackets. Overall, I felt like this was more of a general winter running-around jacket than a ski jacket because it didn't have many pockets or a powder skirt. I ordered a medium (5'6, 135 lbs) and I would have prefered a slimmer fit, but I think a small would have been too tight.
Bought this jacket for my wife recently and she absolutely loves it. The removable liner makes this Vinson II incredibly versatile. The liner is sleek and makes it easy to wear the liner as a jacket by itself. The underarm zippers (shell only) allow your body to breathe while skiing or the like. Would definitely recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a solid jacket that they can count on when needed.
If you are thinking about getting this jacket, don't think anymore, get it. You will love it, I read tons of reviews for weeks and debated on which jacket to get for weeks, decided on this one and love it. Got the black which goes well with everything. It is really warm and the hood keeps the rain and snow from ruining your hair. The inner part zips out and is a really nice jacket to wear on its own for spring or fall. The jacket is not bulky at all which is what I was trying to avoid. Seriously a great jacket.. you will love it!

Bought this for my wife and it has worked wonderfully for the winter here in the mountains of Tenn. She has worn it in the rain and stayed dry and is comfortable in it down to about 35 degrees with the liner in, great all around jacket.
I bought this in black cause it goes well with everything. It very warm and form fitting so you won't lose you shape. Its lightweight and not bulky and easy to wear. I do wish it was a bit more like the other triclimate jackets that are slightly thicker and more textural but that's just my opinion. Overall a really good jacket!
