Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket That Will Keep You Warm At first glance, you definitely won't think this jacket will keep you warm. It's super light and not puffy at all. However, the new "down" jackets are super light and packable. I was skeptical at first, but this jacket will keep you warm...,,,,It's the perfect length - it will cover your behind and it isn't so long that you're tripping and can barely walk. You still have a bunch of mobility and you'll be warm. This really is a "transit" jacket. If you're looking for something that you can wear all winter long and that will last, this is the jacket. This will become your go-to jacket that you will wear every single day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disgusted the quality and the packaging first of all the way Moosejaw shoved it into a carton 2 times to small when you could have saved on the shipping costs by using the plastic bag type envelope you only pointed out how cheap and thin this coat really is the North Face name does not mean quality like it used to!!!,,,,My son insisted that his wife wants this coat when I wanted to spend the extra for a Canada Goose or Patagonia!! This coat is not worth more then $75 disgusted!! I will now go out spend the extra for a cashmere sweater she can wear underneath to keep her warm!!,,,,I am thankful that I got this today so now when I go to the store tomorrow to buy my husband a new jacket it won't be North Face

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sweet jacket with good coverage I was initially a bit disappointed with the quality of the jacket when I first received it. It seemed a bit cheaply constructed but I guess that's what helps make it lightweight. This was a gift and the recipient was very happy with the jacket. She wore it all winter and took it on some adventures (ice fishing, snowshoeing, hiking) and the jacket has held up really well. Some down leakage early on, but that's to be expected with down jackets. It also got her through the polar vortex that hit the Midwest this winter so I'd say it's very warm as well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cute but poor down content in arms so breeze comes thru This is a cute cut and style and loved the red, but there is a serious breeze that comes through the arms when there is any wind. I have a lot of experience with light to heavy weight down jackets- when you live in the cold and walk to work you might as well have a selection of coats and enjoy the outdoors- and thought this would be a great addition due the mid thigh length (which I loved). Sadly, the down is skimpy in the arms and hood and both suffer for it. I think you could get by in the upper 20's without much wind, but that's about it. (and that is with a light fleece or sweater underneath). I also was surprised that the material allowed the fluffy down pieces to come through (not the usual few sharp ends, but the actual individual feather strands fluff thru the material). This is going back.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Questionable Warmth Unfortunately this is the first North Face jacket that I'm not in love with despite the fact it's got pretty much all the features that I wanted: removable hood, length long enough to cover my entire behind, 600 down fill, feminine cut, lightweight, not bulky etc. But it's not warm enough, esp. this year with the Polar Vortex. My Nuptse is much warmer where it covers (my waist up). Like others commented, I can totally feel the cold wind through my sleeves so I definitely need to wear a long sleeve fleece underneath. This one also sheds the feather/down more than others. I feel like TNF compromised the quality just to make a product that appeals to the wide public in terms of the features and the price. I only recommend this product for those who live in warmer climates where the temps don't dip down below freezing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremly warm and compforable jacket. I recently moved from warm Charlotte North Carolina to Des Moines Iowa and knew I needed a warm jacket to get through the winter. I didn't want a real puffy jacket, this one is nice and sleek, just what I was looking for. What it lacks in poof it sure doesnt short on warmth. I mean this jacket is toasty. Loving it for the negative mornings in Des Moines. The Long bottom is warm and fashionable. This jacket was exactly what I was looking for and love it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Holy Flyin' Feathers Like the cut and red color that helps it stand out from 8 gazillion black down parkas, but am not thrilled that everywhere I go, feathers are floating, flying and furtively sprouting from my coat. At this rate, it will be 300 fill by the end of the winter. TNF seems to have a molter on its hands and they might check the fabric density to see that we don't all go featherless and frigid in '15.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not like the picture online…. The picture online looks like the coat has a slender fit, a body hugging coat with a defined waist. I found the waist on the actual coat to be more a regular fit, and the coat was baggier looking in person than expected. The shoulder area was too "sloped" (not enough shoulder room), thus the fit felt awkward and tight through the shoulders.
