"Great for school, but not a hiking backpack"
I bought this backpack for school as well as hiking trips. I love it, however I wont be taking it in the woods anytime soon. It's perfect for laptops (it has a stabilizing, padded sleeve), and has enough room for a textbook or two, but it definitely does not have enough room for more than a day-trip amount of hiking. If you're looking for a long-term, sturdy backpack for school, you wont be disappointed.
This backpack has a nice protective area for your laptop. I am one to have a bad back, so I knew that I needed to invest in a backpack that wouldn't strain my back in any way. The cushy back and straps are wonderful! I love the front bungee section - it's great to put a sweatshirt or light jacket for uncertain days. Even the front zip compartment is deep enough to put a power cord or a pair of flip flops. However, the area for books is quite cramped, especially if you've got your laptop. I found that I had to improvise with folders in lieu of a full-out binder in order to save some space. Textbooks would be a squeeze, unless your books are small. Other than that, it's a great bag!
I ordered this one for my high school daughter, it is little small and the back is pretty hard, I think this backpack is more for the college students to use carry their laptop everywhere. I have to say it is very stylish bag, only is not good for use to carry lot of books. I use my rewards points for this, hopefully i can exchange something fit for my daughter to use.
"very good for college student, high schooler maybe little too small"
I used my reward points to ordered this backpack for my daughter.she loves it, very stylish and stable too. The only thing is this backpack is more for laptop carrier use i think, because the back has a very hard and feels pretty uncomfortable if you just use it for book and not a laptop. space is bit small too. it will be very great for college students that carry's laptop around.I trying to return this and exchange to other backpack, the costumer service name John was very helpful! he told me what to do for exchange the backpack.so I will send it back and order the right one for my high school daughter.hopefully will find some good one that cost same points or less,
