This product was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a coat that was not only stylish and functional but could prove to withstand the harsh Michigan winters. I got it to take skiing and it worked perfectly. I am 5'2 and 120 and the medium fits me well, its a little big but I got it a size larger to wear sweatshirts and hoodies underneath it comfortably. I didn't have any problems with the sleeves being too short or the body being too short, and even though I ordered one size up it fits snuggly still. Plus it looks super cute, I got it in back and I can pair it with my leather boots and a dressed up scarf or with my rain boots and mittens.
Received this in the mail today and I fell in love with it. It is a nice looking coat. I tried it on and it is warm. Not bulky at all. However, medium is a little big for me that's why I called the customer service and asked for the speedy exchange so I can get a small size. You can't beat the price, too.Moosejaw has the lowest price online for this coat. Super fast shipping. Will definitely buy again.
I ordered this jacket for an upcoming ski trip... All I can say is that it's fabulous! I ordered the metallic silver and I really love the color. The picture shown online is very true to color. I am also 5'7'' and 120 lbs and the medium fits me just how I like it. Not too tight and not baggy at all. Its perfect. This jacket is very very warm. I don't think it will require any layering at all. Definitely a good purchase :)
I would encourage any chick who wants to buy this jacket to buy it atleast 1 size, if not 2, bigger. It's short. (At waist & sleeves) And kinda tight, which is actually a good thing, that is what keeps you from being not warm. It's warm, trust me. Not sure how it behaves in wet weather, rain/snow. I had my first snow opportunity today. It had some wet discoloration, which has disappeared since it dried. However I don't believe that it would be good for heavy wet weather, as I don't see it being "waterproof" what-so-ever. Pluses: Pretty, shiney, unique pillow-stitch shape, warm, thin -not puffy, tight, light & comfortable.Minuses: Short, not waterproof, pockets don't zip.
This tiny jacket is something you should buy a size or 2 bigger. No joke. It's short. Really short. (At the waist and the sleeves). Do yourself a favor and listen to me. It fits nice and tight though, which is was keeps this thin down jacket from being not warm. It is warm, I promise. It's also shiney. Not sure how it handles in wet weather, as I haven't had that opportunity until today. I noticed some discoloration, so it will appear wet, whether or not it is actually "water proof" during heavy storms I'm still unsure. Pluses: Windproof, fits tight for warmth, thin -not puffy, PRETTY.Minuses: Short, small, and pricey for what you get.
I bought this coat last January and have never been so pleased with a purchase. I buy a lot of clothes and jackets and shoes. I'm a girl and its my thing. But when it comes to jackets it needs to be warm because I have poor circulation. Well that's exactly what this coat is. So warm and it goes with a lot of outfits. Highly recommended!
Good jacket, but Moosejaw's product description is wrong. It is NOT zip in compatible, since it does not have a reversible zipper or loops on the sleeve. The sleeves are also a tad longish, so not really a under a shell jacket, either. Other than this, the jacket is fine for a stand alone outwear jacket.
I just got this coat for this winter and I really like it and found it to be very warm! It fits great and all together it was definitely worth it and a great choice.
