My poor fingers hate these gloves. They're wonderful at cutting the wind out, no question, but are they warm in any way? No! The gloves are comfortable and not tight like the other North Face gloves I tried on, but what they make up for in space they lack in warmth. The wind isn't a problem anymore, but the creeping cold still makes it through and in very cold weather your fingers will be frigid.
I wouldn't have gotten these if there'd been more reviews when I bought them. What's the point of wearing gloves unless it's yeti cold outside? These don't work for that. I needed warmth without bulkiness or restriction. But the cold (and more importantly, snow) cuts right through. Strange that the Windwall jacket works so well, and the glove version comes up so short. Go with something else.
I bought these for running because of the wind resistance. They do not breathe well and are quite bulky for running. These would be excellent for many other sports as they are quality and definitely keep the wind out but not for running.
"Warm but not good in really cold weather"
I've had these gloves for a couple of months and they have been good in cool weather (30+ temps). Yesterday I was out in 15 degree temps shoveling snow for 20 minutes and my fingers were getting numb. I mean seriously cold. The windbloc feature works great. I've never had a problem with the wind, but the cold cut right through them. The gloves are well made and fit great, but look for something warmer in really cold weather.
