I bought this for my boyfriend. He looks super hot in this blue color, so I'm a big fan. The North Face has a few versions of this jacket, and all have different detachable liners. This one is the best because it's down...and it looks really nice by itself, too.The only strange thing is the pockets--they're not in the normal pocket location, they're up a bit higher. Well, maybe it's normal for ski jackets. In any case, it looks like of weird if you have your hands in the pockets, because they are up higher than most...if that makes sense.
Great jacket overall. Ive been wearing it for 2 winters as my primary outdoor jacket and it serves its purpose admirably. From snowboarding to the office its a great piece. The removable liners with zip in inserts make for great options when weather changes. Hood fits snugly over helmets.
I got this jacket this past fall and have worn it skiing 4 days now. It was dumping snow one day and this jacket kept me nice and toasty the entire day. It was a wet snow and you could see the water bead up on the waterproof outer layer so you know you weren't going to be wet. One complaint I would have about the jacket is the main zipper: it was very difficult to get it started and it seemed to catch the fabric very easy...not that big a deal but kind of annoying. Overall it was a great jacket though and I would recommend it to anyone.
love this jacket very versatile very warm but light weight. the fact that its WATERPROOF not just water resistant helps on campus and in the spring time, the insulation zips out and i can use it as a rain coat. also love the moosejaw points
