"I love this jacket! Very warm layers, fits perfectly, and the color came out better than I thought." 03/08/13

I bought this jacket for my uncle who loves to layer up. He's 5'7" and the medium should be a great fit for him to wear another sweater underneath. Excellent material-- not surprising with The North Face as I'm always pleased with their products. I really like the green colorway, I might have to even pick one up for myself! Excellent buy!

"this thing loves me!" 02/13/13

im about 5'11'' and 155 pounds, so im sorta kinda maybe half way between a small and a med. my whole 22 years of sweet life my dream has been to wrap up in a medium without it being just a tad bit awkwardly to big. well this jacket loves me! i ordered a medium on good faith and it fits me perfectly! I live in Arkansas so the weather is never really cold or warm, but this jacket works great in either! love it!

"Nice quality jacket" 01/06/13

I purchased this jacket for my fiance. I bought the black color. He is 6'2'' and 210 pounds, with a muscular upper-body. He usually wears a Large in The North Face, but after reading reviews I decided to get an XL. Once it arrived and he tried it on, it was entirely too big. A large would have worked perfect. So my advice is to order your true size in this jacket. The quality is very nice! Good product over all, just wish they had better colors to choose from.

"Good Coat" 01/06/13

I ordered this coat just to have a warmer winter coat, but also to be able to convert it for other weather conditions. I bought it for general wear, but also for some occasional snowboarding/sledding. I love the coat, but wish that the shell pockets had some fleece insulation to provide my hands with better warmth when they are in the pockets.

"Love the Maddness and Love this Jacket" 12/21/12

Purchased this jacket as a gift, and the fiance loves it. NIce dark green color - which is wonderful b/c its not "another black coat" and it is also not crazy bright. The inside jacket fits well too, and is a nice transitional weather coat. Thanks Moosejaw!

"Good for those who don't already have a layer setup" 12/15/12

I bought this jacket years ago since i needed a new winter jacket. I bought this jacket because i didn't have any other layers to go with it. This system works great because you get a base layer shell that you can remove, and you have the winter slightly insulated hard shell as well. I'm 5'10" 175lbs and a large fits me great. I gave this jacket a 3 because it's not the warmest jacket, and it's really bulky. I wouldn't recommend this jacket for hiking or going to the hills, it's more of a around town jacket because of it's weight and bulkiness and little features.

"Warm, true to size" 09/20/12

This jacket is amazing. Usually when snowboarding I wear a fleece under a shell and it is bulky. With this you have that same thing, but it does not feel as bulky but just as warm. It is also nice to be able to take out the fleece and wear that by itself in the fall. I am 5'11 220lbs athletic build and I have a tough time finding clothing that fits me correctly. Usually things are too small in the chest and shoulders and way too much room in the abdominal area. This jacket in XL fits me better than most, and is consistent with the sizing for the North Face brand. It is a little snug in the shoulders but overall fits good.
