I love the fact that it's light weight and warm. I only wore it in like 38 degrees so not sure if it will still be warm in low 30's will have to see next winter. But doesn't matter cause I got it for fall/spring not for winter.
I am about 5' 8" 160 lbs and a large fits me across the back and shoulders but it is slightly long in length. This jacket is good to about 30 degrees when worn with a T-shirt and as advertised the wind does not penetrate. I like the way the drawstrings are designed in the pockets.
I just received this jacket...I was worried about the size as I usually wear Medium size shirts/T Shirts, but order a Large...it fits very well.. I am 5'10'' and 185lbs...while the fitting and looks are great, I am not sure if this is suitable for mid 20 weather, which was the sole reason for me buying this...I guess I will wait for the next winter to test it our for mid-20s...anyway, got this on a deal and cant complain!!!
Got this jacket as a valentines present for my husband. He is 5'11 and 215 pounds and the XL fits great on him! He has enough room to wear a fleece underneath, but he doesn't need to because this jacket is very warm by itself. It blocks rain well and looks great on him. He said this is his favorite jacket. Also, the shipping was super fast, thanks Moosejaw!
"Awesome Awesome Awesome is all my Son could say."
Bought this for my son and was worried if the 2 day shipping would get here in time for Christmas but Moosejaw lived up to their word. Jacket is so nice and warm. My Son loves it. Thanks Moosejaw and Merry Christmas
So I call this Jacket a hybrid because it seems light enough to be comfortable on cool days and warm enough to take on cold days. I actually bought this jacket for someone as a Christmas present and loved it some much when I tried it on that I had to take it for a test drive. Its been in the late 20 to early thirties here int he mornings, and I have been quite warm on the way to work. It is a medium and fits me snugly (I usually sport medium shits and sweaters). The color is not-quite-neon green (which isn't my favorite color, but it does catch people's stares). The lining of the jacket is a uber-soft fleece-like material. It like the most amazing animal rug sewn into a wind-proof jacket (no chinchillas were harmed making this awesome jacket). The sleeves and bottom of the jacket have fasteners at the ends of them for tightening & many pockets to put your goods in. My chin and neck love how the zipper can be zipped all the way up to enclose them in the warmth of the coat's love.
"Amaze-Balls Warmth for such a thin/light jacket!"
I absolutely love this jacket. The inside is lined with incredible comfortable fleece and the wrists have fancy tighteners to really help lock in the warmth. For being relatively thin and light, the jacket feels like a torso sauna around you when you zip it up. It is like the wind blows at you but gets scared and blows the other way because I couldn't feel it at all. I wear medium shirts usually, but I went with a large so I could fit a sweater/sweatshirt under. One of my favorite things, though random, is the drawstrings to tighten the bottom of the jacket are accessible from the pockets. The blue color is eye-catching but remains classy. I have not been in a rain storm in it yet, but the material seems like it would give raindrops a run for their money. And speaking of money, I tried a lot of jackets on and for the price, the Chromium was seemed to be the biggest bang for my buck.
I really wanted something light that packs a punch in the warmth department. Enter the Chromium. My Apex Bionic was nice but too cold for PA winters. This smooth furry lining is awesome and the combo of the Apex fabric on the outside gives it windproofing and keeps body heat in. I'm 5'10", 145lbs and I got a small. Sleeves are a little longer than I'd like (I wear a 32/33 in dress shirts), but the length is perfect. The chest is also good, a little tighter but can still layer underneath. I wish it had an outside chest pocket, but at least it has a couple inside closer to the bottom. Weird thing is that it's kind of stiff. I've been wearing it to break it in and it's helped.
