"Over all its a good bag" 01/21/12
I have had this bag for a week now and must say not to bad I just wish the mesh water bottle compartments were a bit larger to fit a nalgene "securely", mine has fallen out a number of times in the last week. Other than that I would say buy this bag its a steal as far as water proof bags go.

"Waterproof!!!" 12/21/11
When it comes to waterproof backpacks, there's not a lot out there to choose from. So I was happy to find that North Face offered the base Camp Hot Shot. The features are pretty standard for a TNF pack - a laptop slot that fits a 15" laptop, internal pockets, etc. The real win is the waterproof base camp material, which I've personally tested in downpoors on my commute. My 15" Macbook, which fits perfectly by the way, stayed nice and dry. The pack simply does what it should.
"I love this backpack" 11/05/11
I had North Face Jester before but it was bit too small for me. I later bought a black Hot Shot and loved it so much. I used it for college and graduate school. Then this backpack was with me the whole time when I traveled to Vegas, Puerto Rico, snowboarding, Virgin Island, etc, etc. A wonderful backpack for all purpose. Get it, you'll love it.
