Altimeter, barometer, compass? What more could you ask for in a watch!? Suunto is known for making great watches. I can guarantee you'll love this watch. A great buy. Definitely.
After doing plenty of research, I went with the Vector and I'm glad I did. The features are very easy to use and fairly accurate! The only complaint is I got the yellow watch with the reverse face (white numbers, black background) so its hard to see at times. The watch face is fairly big and I'm a woman with a tiny wrist but we still get along ok. Plus, I like the look of a bigger watchface...it just screams "my watch is badass!!!" Pick one up, you won't be disappointed!
This watch is light, and I like the ability to replace its strap with ease. The reason for this purchase is because my old one's (non-Suunto) strap broke, and could not be replaced...the strap was "fused" to the body. I find Suunto's compass to be very accurate. Compass calibration is easy. The pressure dependent altimeter is relatively accurate. The stopwatch displays minutes & seconds & to one decimal place - sufficiently accurate. The buttons to operate the watchs' functions are responsive. My old watch function buttons are "sticky". Battery change seems easy (no special tools needed, only a coin). This is a smart looking watch, and should last the rigors of the outdoors.
Easy to operate while running, biking and climbing. I am able to read the digits without problems and the night glow is bright enough for me to read during my morning runs. The sturdy and durable casing is much more reliable than any other watch that I have had. The thermometer is accurate but takes time to adjust from indoor temperature to outside temperature. The compass is accurate and leads me in the right direction. Overall this watch is a the best among competitors and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it!!!
It's nice to have a watch on my wrist so I can quickly review the time without having to pull out my GPS however that's about all I can rely on - the temp. is frequently off by 10-15 degrees (off the wrist) and the altimeter as much as 200 feet.
This watch is incredibly reliable and easy to use, not to mention lasts forever and looks great. I started messing with it out of the box before reading instructions and got the hang of it right away, I still recommend reading them, but even after a while its pretty user friendly. I did not have to replace the battery until after 3 years of purchasing it and messing with it constantly, the button placement is just right as well and don't get pressed accidentally constantly like other watches Ive owned. It is light and super reliable, I know I said that already but I cant stress it enough.
I bought this as a second altimeter for when I skydive, especially for when I am under canopy (the analogue altimaster is great but not accurate enough for canopy precision). I did a lot of research for what alti watch I wanted and this one won because of its specs and lots of secret goodies. Its actually quite easy to use, and I am very tech UNsavvy. I also have teeny tiny wrists and it still looks great on my arm (I wear it just as a watch a lot too) and I get a lot of compliments on it. I got the black on black because it would go with more than the yellow on black. Great alti watch, highly recommended!!!

I am an ER nurse and I climb in my free time. I love this watch. Its worked great for me from keeping time in codes and helping me time my charting to keeping me on track when climbing in the Tetons and in Oregon.... My first altimeter watch and a buy I'm definitely not disappointed with.
Absolutely awesome watch. I spend about 5 months a year in the mountains and use this watch as equipment, not just a time piece. I have two Suuntos and am thinking about a third one so I will be triple cool!!! I gave my Rolex to my son and he gave me a Suunto. Great trade.

This watch is awesome and have really enjoyed it. It is a big watch and you have to get use to it on your arm but still keep it. Only problems is a slight scratch on glass and the temperature measurer only has the temp of your arm.

The watch is amazing and work very well. The only problems I have had is a slight scratch on the glass and the temperature feature does not work great because it just takes the temperature of your arm. It is a big watch and at first I was not sure I wanted to keep it but I have gotten use to it and enjoy it.
