The Sterling Rope Accessory Cord comes in assorted colors and a wide range of diameter options, making them extremely versatile for climbing, recreation, rescue, and utility applications. Many people take accessory cord quality for granted; however, there is a difference. Sterling Rope cords are unique and they believe better in many ways. Sterling Rope twists the sheath yarn which makes their cords last longer and handle better. Sterling also works with original equipment manufacturers (OEM) offering them an endless variety of cords that are functional, durable, and even fashionable. Warning: Accessory cords are not for use as climbing ropes! Sorry for yelling about it. These Sterling Rope cords are packaged in pre-cut lengths.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light, strong, plenty of room to work without the bulk and weight. Bought 7m of 6mm cord to use as cordalette for anchor building and self-/vertical rescue scenarios and training. Although it's weaker (lower force rating) than the usual 6m of 7mm, you get more cord to build anchors with AND you need to use fewer wraps even for smaller diameter climbing ropes than you would have to with the 7mm. ,,Additionally, it's less bulky on your rack and even a tad lighter. Sure, being a smaller diameter will make it wear out faster, but the quicker you replace your gear ensures its integrity as well as allowing you to rack up them Moosejaw points.,,Love the Madness.,,Basically, trad and canyoneers will frown at it, but alpinists will eat it up.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK... Just ok. A little bit too stiff for my taste, but still gets the job done. Been using it with static loads of up to 50 kgs (around 150 lbs) and never had an issue with it getting unwebbed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Cord Out There! This accessory cord is hands down the best I've used! Smooth handling, awesome durability and high-quality build, competitively priced, and the trusted Sterling name...Absolutely perfect! I particularly like the 5mm or 6mm cord for prusiks, and have found endless uses (lashing extra gear, leashes for mountaineering tools, etc) for other sizes as well. Buy some now, you won't be disappointed!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for making prusik Well, nothing super-fancy here, just a normal accessory cord. I bought the 6mm, which was great for making prusiks. Good price, however, if you just want a cord for one prusik, 50feet might be overkill. But I guess you can always find some uses for this cords anyway, make a lasso and catch a reindeer or something.,,,,Too bad you can't choose the color yourself.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 550 cords bigger tougher big brother. bought this rope to replace all the old cordage on all my climbing gear. love the fact that its so versatile. great for just about anything that you can think of. doesn't stretch out and makes aid climbing easier. tie up your hammock, dog leash, or throw it over a branch to hoist up your gear to keep it away from the critters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can you say Prusik? I purchased this accessory cord for 1 purpose and 1 purpose only... Prusik knots. With my 9.8 Evolution rope, this accessory cord is the perfect size to tie a Prusik knot when rapping. The cord provides the perfect amount of friction with the rope without being overwhelming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Cord Like it. Just a cord, so hard to get too excited, but sheath has a nice braid to it that gives it a good feel and good knot holding. Seems to have better than average abrasion resistance.
