"Save mo money by investing a bit!" 11/15/11
For all you gear lovers out there, this is an essential piece of your collection! Although more expensive than most other forks, spoons or knives, this is the only thing you will ever need. Ultra strong, never bends or twists, this will stay in your pack for a very long time (until they create a spork made out of ultra ultra light material...)Works good with noodle soup or our favorite ramen! Pair it with a collapsible cup and you got your ultra light backcountry dining kit.Went through 3 plastic sporks before finally investing a bit for this unbreakable item.
"Excellent little piece of kit" 11/15/11
I had used those little plastic sporks with the spoon on one end and the fork/knife on the other (you know the ones- brightly colored and such), and got sick of them melting. As far as I can tell, it's tough to melt titanium when backpacking. It does, however, bend quite nicely so that you can fit it into your kitchen kit nicely. Eating with it is nice. I painted the handle red, and put a lanyard in the hole on the handle (they must have paid someone to think of that one), because I don't want my friends to "think" it's thiers, and I tend to lose my sporks (not anymore with the lanyard). I really like this little guy.
"really cool" 09/21/11
I have to admit, I didn't get a whole lot of experience with this thing on my 30 day hike thru VT and NH. I told myself I'd use that garbage spork that came with the MSR mess kit until it broke. But when I did, It was like using "google" after having been stuck with "bing" all day.
"It is a shiny spork !!!!" 08/17/11
I have used this spork to eat with. I have dug worms with it. I even used the handle as a screwdriver. It is a multipurpose spork. Being Titanium it is indestructible, so use it for more than eating. Just remember to wash it !! By the way it is really light too!
"Spork-f^cking-tacular" 06/25/11
As has been established by the prior work of my fellow reviewers, this is a fantastic utensil for the backwoods. While I too appreciate the utility of this hybrid in the great wide open, I have found that this spork shines equally bright in urban duty. Indeed, when confronted with take-out tins of pad thai, vegan Chipotle bowls, or frisbee-fulls of Captain Crunchberries, I reach for this spork, and it outperforms its traditional counterparts (I'm talking to you, clumsy chop sticks, non-biodegradable plastic fork, and lowly ladle). So keep this implement out of your bag when you return to your post-adventure life, and let the unbridled power of this spoon-fork guide you to a better tomorrow.
"ITS A SPORK... need I say more?" 06/22/11
this thing is great! Ive had mine for years and its pretty much the only utensil you need for backpacking besides a knife! (and if you heat it up with a propane torch it gives the metal a cool blueing effect for a unique spork) buy it!
"Yep they did it" 03/11/11
Titanium....Spork?! Yeah they did it and did it well. This bad boy is a perfect addition to your camp cooking gear. Works better then I thought it would as a spoon. To put it simple this spork will last you a life time either eating at home or on the trail and will take the abuse like nothing else. Get it you wont be disapointed.
"Great Titanium Spork" 02/01/11
I'm not going to waste my time going over the pros and cons of a spork, but as sporks go this is an excellent one. I use this one as my primary utensil when doing lightweight, multi-day trips. I like the weight and the fact that titanium cools quickly. The only con is that the fork tines could be a little longer and more pointed.I recently also bought the short version of this spork that fits in my mess kit. Not sure whether they shorty will replace this one, guess it depends on how easy I burn my knuckles trying to use it.
"Nice!" 12/17/10
A Ti Spork what more has to be said?Feels light and flimsy, but it's not this spook will impale a piece of meat as well as any "fork" could. Soup is a little tricky due to fork part but stews, MREs, or any other type of "field food" are good to go. Additionally, the length of the handle is a perfect size for reaching down into meal packets to get the last bit.I would recommend to some friends only because I don't want them all to have a Ti Spork.
"Ttitanium Sporks FTW" 12/04/10
I have avidly been using my titanium spork for a couple of years now every single day. I don't go anywhere without it. Why? Because its super light and you don't need a fork or a spoon. It's a spork. Unlike other sporks though, this one won't break. It does bend a little bit though if your food is really frozen. This past summer on a trail crew I met some titanium spork naysayers, and in a couple of weeks they were all using titanium sporks.
