Love the length on the torso, it layers down well over the matching bottoms. The seams are flat and its very comfortable. Wore almost every day for two weeks in Iceland this April. I'm typically a cold person, so I easily layered two more tops over this, then a rain jacket. Didn't overheat, did get sweaty, but dried quickly and took a long time for it to get really stinky. Will get another set next season.
I switched to wool for my base layers a few years ago. I had typically been using a polypro baselayer. This was my first wool baselayer, and it did not disappoint. It is soft against your skin. Living in the NW I get to deal with my fair share of moisture... and wool keeps you warm even if it is damp. It doesn't retain bad smells, which is a huge benefit to the longevity of the layer. I have used it XC skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, biking, rock climbing, and mountaineering. Whether it is alone or acting as a layer I have been very pleased with it. My only complaint is that it is rather expensive, but in this case you get what you pay for, quality.
