I have used these socks everywhere from hiking the "W" in Chilean Patagonia to trekking through the Australian wilderness, and they do a good job of keeping your feet warm, while providing your feet with comforting cushiness. That, and they're a (relatively) pretty color :).

Warm, comfy, shrunk just a tad in the dryer. These keep my feet warm and delicious. I've put these through the paces on cold wet days and my feet (both of them) were happy. If you're looking for socks that will go the extra mile for you, then these are it!

I bought these for my wife because all of her socks suffered from cheapitis. Upon wearing them over the course of a cold winter day she said, “These are the greatest, warmest, most comfortablest socks I have ever worn.” The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, apparently the best way to a women’s heart is through awesome socks.
I bought this sock for a hiking trip in Yosemite. They are super comfy and do not retain any sort of smell. They are nice and thick, so they prevented any blisters on my feet. Plus, they are a super cute purple! Great product, recommended for any hiking trip- from a day trip to a few weeks!
I am definitely a sock person and have found a new favorite. These are great for hiking in the colder months and I have gotten multiple wears out of them on the trail without them stinking up the tent! They have some cushion which makes them a pleasure to wear off the trail as well!
For the five years, I've bought a three or four pair of these every year for christmas. This year, the tradition will end. Currently have over twenty pair, and they are all still performing flawlessly. I'll be interested to see if they make last an entire decade. Kudos to Smart Wool for the best all around sock available to man. Money might not be able to buy love, but it can by a hell of a pair of socks, and that's the next best thing.
I just got these sock and I must say they are awesome. They are thicker than I expected which I like. They are very cushion-y and warm. These may be the most comfortable socks I've ever owned. My only quip is that some of my shoes are a little snug because the socks are so thick.

I do a lot of backcountry field work as a wildlife technician and the only socks I'll take anymore are smart wool. They are tough, the pairs I currently own I've had for over 2 years and only one sock (not one pair, one sock) shows any wear at all. They come in great colors, keep my feet warm even if they are wet and if you get the lighter pairs are even good for summer work. Plus they look great! My mom thinks I"m crazy to pay this for socks, but when they last through hard daily use year after year they are more then worth it.
