Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Jacket. My New Staple, a MUST Buy! I was torn between this and the MH Ghost Whisperer. I went with the Gnar, and don't regret it. I'm 6’, 185lbs, 44” chest, 33” waist - the Large fits well. It’s not quite form fitting, and could be slimmer through the body for an athletic build. Although, the hem draw seals off the elements and retains body heat. The thumb holes? They keep your hands warm and help you slide into fitted outer layers. It has huge inner pockets and weighs just 11.3oz WITH stuff sack; this thing is lighter than my base layer! It regulates heat really well, and while others were adding layers at camp in 34 deg last weekend, I was fine in a technical short sleeve tee and this jacket. The Dri-Down is also effective.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great jacket. warm to the forties and if you layer up right down to the teens this was the first down jacket i have purchased and let me say I'm impressed so far. I ride a bicycle to class everyday whether is 10 degrees or 75 and this jacket keeps me plenty warm on those chilly mornings. it works well on its own down to the thirties or forties and on those mornings when its 15 out i just throw on a hoodie underneath and barely notice the cold. My only complaint is the fit. Granted i bought a large when I should have gone with a medium so i would recommend trying it on first (I bought online). although the large allows me to layer underneath without feeling bulky. The thumb loops are a nice touch to keep the sleeves down but the spandex like material seals the holes up nice when you don't want to use them. the elastic cuffs keep cold air from blowing up the sleeves and the pocket are big enough for whatever you carry. the whole thing packs down into a stuff sack to about the size of a cantaloupe.
